God Loves His Church - By Ron McGatlin
I believe the greatest truth of the Bible regarding mankind is simply stated in the first three words of a children's song that is yet sung by Christian children today. "Jesus Loves Me" is the most important reality of life. And the next three words carry the most important concept to the well being of humans. "This I Know" is the key to inner peace. Without the Love of God through Jesus there would be only vanity in life - all would be empty and valueless. And without mankind knowing the love of Jesus there would be no inner peace and no potential for real joy in life.
Life exist in the unconditional love of God for mankind - the apple of His eye. Potential everlasting life exist for mankind in responding to the love of God. Potential everlasting death exist in rejecting the unconditional passionate love of God. Passionate love betrayed, ignored, despised shunned and rejected becomes jealousy and wrath.
The decision is already eternally settled on God's part to love and will never change. The undecided part of the situation is man's part. Will he choose to respond in like kind to the unconditional love of God or will he choose another god or gods and betray, ignore, despise, shun and reject the passionate love of God. The choice is life or death.
Deu 30:19-20: "I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; "that you may love the LORD your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days.......
The church (the called out ones) are today returning to the church's first love - many are recognizing and experiencing the passion of God's love in intimate relationship with the Father as His children and with Christ Jesus as His Bride.
Religion and false teaching cannot continue its hold on those who experience the intimacy and communion of responding to God's love. That which is impure in the church is being washed away by that which is holy - the pure love of God. Man's pure response to God's love in obedience and clinging to Him who is our life is changing the church.
