The Occupy Wall Street protesters were joined recently by the Christian evangelistic group, Go Stand Speak, which came armed with Bibles and street preachers adept at communicating to the large crowd. Pakistan judge Pervez Ali Shah 'flees death threats' after conviction of murderer - 10/26/2011
Colleagues of a Pakistani judge who convicted a Muslim extremist of murder say he has fled to Saudi Arabia after getting death threats. Pervez Ali Shah gave the death sentence to Malik Mumtaz Hussein Qadri for killing Punjab Governor Salman Taseer. Qadri said he believed Taseer was undermining blasphemy laws. Indonesian Church Denied Site as New Bill Threatens Freedoms - 10/26/2011
In defiance of a Supreme Court order early this year affirming Yasmin's constitutional right to freedom of worship, Bogor Mayor Diani Budianto canceled the church's worship permit, locked and sealed their church building and banned church members from meeting on the street. New York Sex Education Curriculum Shocks Parents - 10/27/2011
Outrage. That's the word to describe how many New York City parents feel about a new sex education curriculum public schools must now enforce. Middle and high school students will be required to take a semester of sex ed. Brazil: Handing the keys of the city to Jesus - 10/26/2011
In Brazil more than one hundred mayors have presented the keys of their city to Jesus. This was reported last month by Dutch prayer leader and author Pieter Bos. Cornélio Procópio is a town of 80,000 inhabitants. Campinas is a city of one million inhabitants. Pastor Kid Marinho invited the mayor to attend and challenged him to give the key of the city to Jesus. Sharia Law Basis for Libya's New Government - 10/24/2011
Libya's transitional leader says Islamic Sharia law will be the basis for the country's new government. Mustafa Abdul Jalil, chairman of the National Transitional Council, declared Libya a liberated nation on Sunday. Maldives Arrests Indian Teacher for Owning Bible - 10/24/2011
Police in the island nation of Maldives held a teacher from India for about 15 days before deporting him Oct. 14 for having a Bible in his house. A 30-year-old teacher at a School in Raa Atoll, was arrested after police found a Bible and a rosary in his house during a raid. Occupy London Stock Exchange protesters asked to leave by cathedral officials - 10/23/2011
Anti-global finance camp under pressure to disband or move as decision taken to close St Paul's on safety grounds. The anti-global finance protest camp set up next to St Paul's cathedral a week ago has been asked to leave by cathedral officials who said they were being forced to shut the building for safety reasons. Hope truly springs eternal as demonstrated recently when Dallas County Cowboy Church became instrumental in saving a 96-year-old man's eternal soul. As reported on WFAA News, Pastor Mike McKinney was privileged to baptize Bert Devers, a man whose family thought they'd never see get saved, let alone baptized. See a video of Devers' baptism.
