Transforming
Your City: the Example of Juarez,
Mexico
Last weekend here in Albuquerque, New Mexico, 140
ministry leaders and a few public officials were electrified to hear the
testimony of Pastor Poncho Murguia. We also took him to Santa Fe, the oldest
capital in the USA to speak on the plaza for the Fall Gathering of Churches
where he also spoke. Poncho after leading a large and successful mega church for
years was instructed by the Lord to "leave everything" and to go a city park in
his native Juarez, Mexico in order to fast and pray for three weeks over the
city.

Cry
out for Aleppo and an end of the war in
Syria
Pope
Francis has decried the bombing of Aleppo in Syria, saying those responsible for
killing civilians will have to answer to God.
Speaking
at a public audience in St Peter's Square in Rome, he called it "an already
martyred city, where everybody is dying".
Russian-backed
Syrian government forces have launched a fierce campaign to take control of
rebel-held eastern areas.
Air
strikes continued to hit the besieged districts overnight.
Pope
Francis urged all sides to "commit themselves with all their strength to protect
civilians".
"This
is an imperative and urgent obligation. I appeal to the consciences of those
responsible for the bombings, who will one day will have to account to God," he
said.

North Koreans are defecting from the country in
droves
With
everything from the fear of deadly snakes to alleged executions by
anti-aircraft gun, it's understandable why many North Koreans desire to flee the
Hermit Kingdom. What's interesting to note, however, is the economic class of
defectors that have found their way out of North Korea. According to a
survey from the Korean Unification Ministry, the percentage of defectors from
the "middle-class" rose from 19% in 2001 to 55.9% after 2014. The increase stems
from the fact that more defectors from higher statuses in the North possess the
resources to escape, said the Unification
Ministry.

Sexual progressives claim to be ushering in a "brave
new world" of freedom. But their "new" morality is as old as the
hills.
How often have you heard sexual progressives claim that
those of us who hold to traditional sexual morality and marriage are "on the
wrong side of history?" But as one new book points out, it's the proponents of
the sexual revolution who are embracing a sexual morality that history left
behind millennia ago-in the dusty ruins of the Roman
Forum.

Possibility of more abductions by the Islamic Emirate of
Afghanistan
"On
the date noted above, the IEA released a statement on its website threatening
wide-spread retribution if the government carries out the death sentence for
Anas Haqqani, who is currently being held at Bagram Airfield.
"If
the higher courts also uphold the death sentence to Anas Haqqani, it will have
very disastrous and dangerous consequences for the current regime," according to
the statement. "The war and its intensity will increase in all parts of the
country. A lot of blood will be spilled and the government will be responsible
for all of it."

Pray for the Unity of the Body of Christ in
Israel
What
is it going to take to bring about the purposes of God for the land and peoples
of Israel? Is it possible that we can see a spiritual breakthrough in
political and social realms? Is it possible that we can see hearts and minds
change?

Call
to Pray with and for the National Prayer Assembly, October 27-28
"History
belongs to the intercessors who believe the future into being." - Walter
Wink
"God
wants the Church to bind principalities and powers with authority and to
determine the politics of nations." --Ingulf Schmidt
The
National Prayer Assembly to be held October 27-28 in the Washington DC
area will be the culmination of a year of several wonderful united prayer
initiatives for the USA. Its theme is "Seeking God's Face for the Deliverance
and Destiny of America" and it will involve ministry leaders and intercessors
coming together from across the country for a final time of all-out intercession
before the national elections. Would you please join us in prayer for the nation
during those days and specifically until then, seek the Lord with us for the
following concerns?

European
Consultation in Den Haag Netherlands, September, 15-17
2016
After
the blessed "Rise-Up Now" conference in Milan last June, the leadership of Rise
Up Now Europe decided to have a time of consultation to pray and seek God
together about what the next steps should be in the coming two years. These
three days were very blessed. Both European leaders and Arab leaders took
part.
The
Rise-Up team members feel the urgent Call to reach the Europe with the Gospel of
Jesus Christ, working together as Europeans and Arabs. Plans were made to
organize a European Conference in Germany in May/June 2017 and in 2018 in the
Netherlands. The leadership teams for these conferences were formed and
blessed.
Thank
you very much for your prayers, support and donations.

10 Days: Uniting the Church with Jesus at the
Center
Prayer
is one of the most humble activities we can engage in as human beings. It's a
ceding of the power to act for the humility of asking and waiting. It's also
God's chosen means to bring about the transformation of human hearts, impossible
circumstances, and even entire cities and nations.
We've
been riding waves of encouragement in the past weeks as new cities have joined,
resulting in over 30 cities/regions participating in 10 Days. Each place has a
testimony, and we are privileged to hear incredible stories each
day.

About International Prayer Connect (IPC)
OUR VISION:
"Compelled by God to seek
Christ's glory worldwide for the blessing, healing, and transforming of the
nations, International Prayer Connect exists as a coalition of prayer networkers
and mobilizers working together to motivate, develop and equip national
movements and local churches to fill all nations with prayer for the fulfillment
of the Great Commandment and the completion of the Great Commission."
HOW WE OPERATE:
The IPC is not an organization as
such. We are a fellowship of people involved in mobilizing prayer throughout the
world. We function as an international "network of networks", connecting
international, regional, and national prayer ministries and networks. We also
arrange or support special prayer initiatives that bring prayer leaders together
from time to time to pray for matters of regional and global concern to the Body
of Christ. Regional prayer summits have been arranged or supported by the IPC in
most regions of the world as well as international prayer initiatives for the
United Nations, Hollywood, and other issues.
The IPC is led by an international
leadership team, now called the International Prayer Council, is composed of
twenty leaders who coordinate regional prayer networks or international prayer
initiatives of various kinds. We seek to be catalysts and connectors within the
global prayer movement towards the fulfillment of Habakkuk 2:14- that "the
earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters
cover the sea."
We do not have an official
membership but connect with individuals and networks through IPC
Connections, a periodical newsletter distributed via e-mail to
give prayer information to interested people. Please share this newsletter with
prayer coordinators, prayer network leaders, and others who have an interest in
the global prayer movement so that they can be informed about different prayer
initiatives, existing prayer networks, and how to participate in
them. |
Donating to IPC Through PayPal
PayPal is an online banking service
that can receive donations from over 30 currencies worldwide through automatic
draft and credit cards. It is safe and secure. International Prayer Connect is a
non-profit ministry funded through the Transformation Prayer Foundation and
relies on individual donations to keep the work going. If you are willing to
provide support, please click below. Thank you for your sacrificial gift to IPC!
