I sense the Lord asking me to post this word which he gave me several years ago.

The Fathers heart is breaking for the lost of this nation, the Fathers heart is breaking for the lost of this nation. He sees the lost sheep lost and lone upon the hills and the highways and byways. Church, its time to wake up, its time to see as the Father sees, the lost and the broken.

Picture a ship being tossed about in a storm with high seas and raging wind. The people on board are fighting for their lives as the waves threaten to sink the boat. In the quiet tranquility of the harbour, is a lifeboat with the lifeboatmen asleep. However there is one who is alert. A watchman. He notices a bleep on the distress monitor and rouses the crew into action. They find the coordinates of the distressed ship and head out into the oncoming storm. They arrive in the nick of time to rescue those on board and take them to the safety of the harbour.

Spiritual parralel

The people on the ship represent the unsaved people around us. The storm and raging sea represent the forces of the world and the devil holding them in bondage. The quiet tranquility of the harbour represents the comfortableness of the sleeping church. The lifeboat (LIFEboat) represents the church. The crew represent believers who are asleep but who are about to be (or are being) roused out of sleep. The one who is alert are the watchmen of the Lord spoken of in Ezekiel , the prayer warriors who are in touch with the Fathers heart. He sees the plight of the lost and his concern drives him to wake up, shake up the sleeping ones (this does not represent all believers). Those who catch the vision, the ones who head out in the boat, are those who wait, pray and intercede until the breakthrough and go out to reach those who are lost in the storms of life.

The time is short, yet under the anointing of the Lord,the preaching of the gospel and the power of God, those who go out will be used mightily to save many for the Kingdom and bring them to the safety of God's salvation.

Life boats are vessels used to save the lost.
