This is a season to accelerate the shifting of our focus to Christ and
Him alone. The reason for the fragmentation, alienation, and lack of
cohesiveness is the many divergent focal points. The many visions and
emphases.
As the gaze of all becomes locked upon Jesus Christ then the other
things will properly align. There will be things that are to fall away
useless and forgotten because they never were of Him. Other things
will line up and fit into the beautiful mosaic that is the image and
fullness of Him who fills all in all. (Jesus Christ) They will no longer be
points of contention, competition nor alienation of others. All of that will
become lost in our single focus and vision.
Suddenly "the Church" will be vast beyond the largest mega church
and the effect of the unifying currently incomprehensible.
I saw this the other day. A small and incomplete picture of where we are
headed and need to be:
First there was what looked a lot like a little girl on roller skates. I knew
she wasn't actually a little girl. However she was small and child like,
carefree in demeanor. Then she was confronted by a bus. It was
extremely large, super size. And it looked like they would collide, and of
course the girl would be crushed.
But instead, at the last moment, the girl both outmaneuvered and vastly
out paced the huge bus.
The model of a ministry neatly containing and carrying people and
gifting , all dependent on said ministry to function and operate, are over.
Strategically there must be a shift to relationally connected yet free
moving ministries and functions. If the big bus gets demolished or
stalled then everything in it will be stopped as well. In the days coming
this would be a mistake, having these contained ministries in the city of
God.
The needed model is free exchange and movement within the city, and
closer knit families of people connected by relationship. But also free to
relate and function "outside the bus" so to speak. This would unleash
untold provision as well as greater safety and ability to function for all.
For the enemy to try and stop or destroy this type of ministry might be a
little like trying to go after a militia who operate in cells. They might hit
one small part but there are others all over the place who continue on
in safety with the same vision and focus. Destroying and stopping the
"big bus" however, would be rather easy. One fell swoop.
In order for this sort of thing to actually work there must be one
common vision and focus. And that would be Christ and Christ alone.

Excellent scripture, and also an area needing more depth in myself. I
suspect in others too. Trust is a hot topic for a lot of us both individually
and corporately.

Deborah, Thank you so much for the welcome and blessing! 😄
Actually I'm not really new to OH, although it's been a little while since
I've been very active. I married a little over a year ago and wanted to
use my new name here. Felt nudged of the Lord to get a little more
active here again.
I'm glad what I shared encouraged you.
