“Staging Area”

I just felt led to encourage many of you today that have been waiting on the Lord and living in a daily pressure-cooker where you feel constantly on edge and not able to settle back into things as usual. Even though a lot of what has been happening has seemed and felt like more than you can bear, rest assured that God is bringing much needed growth in your soul through these trials, and you will need these character-tweaks up ahead when you enter the deeper waters of ministry and warfare.

When I was in the military, I was in a unit that usually had to go to war first; so when the call was given we would have to pack up all of our equipment and go and wait at the flight-line for further instructions. They call this the “staging area”. Most of us have just been waiting in a spiritual staging area right now where we are awaiting new orders as to what we are to do next. This time can either drive you crazy, or it can drive you closer to God and to the next phase of what He’s called you to.

This is a time to stay clean and stay listening 24 hours a day. It is a time to set aside all unnecessary activity and to ignore demonic distractions that would try to push all our old fear buttons. You have been through the worst of it, and now you should see a breakthrough soon if you have done what the Lord has asked you to do to prepare. Trust that God loves you and He protects you. There are angels around you and soon you will hear a clear word from Heaven as to what you should do next.

DT 31: 8 “The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
