This word is more directed to my fellow Black and Brown skinned brothers and sisters who live in the USA. I felt a warning that we may be hearing news coming through the media over the coming weeks and days that may be very upsetting. Things that may try to shake us. I felt to encourage and remind others that no matter what happens, we are to be firmly anchored and secure in Christ. The word says that if we be in Christ, we are NEW CREATURES. The old things have truly passed away and behold, ALL THINGS have been made new (1 Cor 5;17) Our earthly lineage may, for example originated in Africa. The majority of us were brought over to the United States as slaves. Hence, our culture is now American. This is only a part or portion of our makeup as a human being. Our truest identity is in Christ.   The crux of who we are inside is in Christ.

Our black and brown skin only adds to the richness and the beauty of who we are in him.

He is our anchor and our rock.

Thank you and God bless you,

Deborah

Hey Deborah. Can you give us more clarity or
details?

Thanks

Hi Quo,
I was watching a forum the other night on CNN. It was called "Black, White and Blue". There were various people who had been invited to speak there. The wife of Alton Sterling, the man who was killed by police a couple of weeks ago in Baton Rouge Louisiana was there. There were also family members there from one of the policemen in Dallas that was killed. Lots of representatives from different police forces around the country were represented as well.

It came out in conversation near the end of the forum that the KKK may be infiltrating some of the police departments around the country (not necessarily anything we have not heard before). Also, it came out that studies had been done at certain police departments that blacks were more predisposed to crime and needed to be "policed" or contained. The prompt that I felt inside when I watched this was that more information like this may be coming out in the media. As it does, people in the Black community may get very upset. The reason why is that it will confirm suspicions that have been there all along.

Luke 8:17 (NIV) For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.

(Romans 12: 14-19) (NIV)
14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.

15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.

18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Your'e welcome Quo.

Honestly, I debated about how much of "me" to place in this word/narrative. I initially just put in the warning I felt the Lord was giving me about more of this type of information coming out and left it there. But truth be told, ive been struggling. In light of last week's shootings in Louisiana, Minnesota and Dallas, I have been through much inside. As an African-American woman, I have found myself going backwards and forwards between feelings of shock, sadness and anger. My first feelings after I heard about the two young men who were killed on the same day was like "Lord, two in one day? How can this be happening?" First, I had just heard about these two incidents or read a brief headline about them. Then a little while later I saw the videos for myself. Whew. No words.   I was angry. I have to admit, I cant remember the last time Ive been more angry. As I started to try to assimilate the facts myself, I also started to see other people's reactions. One of the things that has upset me is how some of my white friends don’t seem to be troubled by these incidents as much as I am. This isnt a "black" problem, its everyone's problem. The recent two police killings in Louisiana and Minnesota are just different this time. They are different than the ones that have happened over the past two to three years.   I know a lot of it has to do with the use of camera phones recording things in real time. Even though the powers that be may try to discredit, facts caught on camera cannot be discredited.

I havent been sleeping well all week. The nights each one of these incidents happened I was up all night. This may be because of the prophetic in me. But yeah, ive been back and forth with these incidents on my heart all week now.

I had felt to write something about what has happened, but honestly I could not at first. I have been experiencing so much anger that I had a hard time really getting myself together. I had to have the Lord put me in check, because of the anger that I felt. I felt as if the ones that were killed could be a member of my family. And I have also been pulled over by the police before. I know what its like to feel to be treated differently because of the color of your skin in these matters. Its not cool, its not fun and it should not be happening.

I am not American, and have never been to America, so I can only speak from what I see as an outsider, and with whatever spiritual
insight I may have.

I see America as a deeply divided nation. It isn't just Black and White - it's in every facet - in politics between Republican and
Democrat, between poor and rich (Occupy Wall Street and similar movements), between North and South, between East Coast and West Coast,
between Christian and non-Christian, between government and citizen, between pro-gun and anti-gun, pro-Abortion and anti-Abortion, LGBT
and anti, the list goes on. And this is never more evident than in a crisis. Reporting is for one side or another, virulently in most
cases. People align themselves with one opinion or another and there is little or no moderation or attempt to find a middle ground.
Everything is black and white (pardon the expression) and highly polarised.

I see the problems not as separate issues - but as intertwined. Gun ownership is not separate from gun violence, is not separate from
police brutality, is not separate from racism, is not separate from the history of slavery and the KKK to the NRA. Is not separate from
the sides of the fence the Republicans are on vs the stance of the Democrats.

I hear the Lord saying - Intercessors and prophets seek Me to find the root, and lay axe to it, both for the nation and individually.

Hello all...
as I was reading this post and then the comments to follow I just kept
thinking "pawns"... so I sat with the Lord for a while and got "who is
your enemy?"
Blacks, whites, brown green... the police, the protesters, the terrorist,
ISIS, the media that sways one way or the other....??
Our ONLY enemy is satan and the forces or darkness....

We are all people, humans... there are some that are allowing
themselves (aware or not aware) to let their flesh flood their
emotions and (if not put in check) their actions...

Remember to place the blame where it should be... SATAN!!
He is the one using us as "pawns" against eachother, and for what
purpose??? Distraction and disception... he is the king of lies....

Don't let his plans keep you from the mission the Lord has set in
front of you.... keep your focus on Him and not the "misdirection" the
enemy is and will continue to throw at all of us...

Pray that the Lord will give you a heart like His... full of compassion
for the lost... Pray for your enemies, not because you know your
supposed to, but because they are not so much villians as they are
victims , held captive by satan. Instead of anger, one way or the
other, how about pray for deliverance, for their eyes to see who the
true enemy is and for the love and compassion of Christ to pierce
threw the flesh and change their hearts...

Rose, Rachel, and Ashlee, thank you for your comments.

Rose, I have been praying about what the Lord showed you about "laying the axe to the root of the tree". I am praying for wisdom on this and prayerfully others are too.

Rachel, thank you for your encouragement. I have felt a stirring inside of me over the last two weeks that is incredible. I definitely feel the Lord doing something in me. I feel a "fire shut up in my bones" in regard to writing! I am feeling led to preach but in written form! I appreciate your prayers on my new journey.

Hey Ashlee, thanks for your comments but I don’t think you really saw my heart. When I was talking about being angry (and maybe I should have just kept those comments to myself) that was in response to the injustice of those two black men being killed a couple of weeks ago.

Its taken me some time to sort all this out. I feel like I may have been even feeling God's anger. There is nothing wrong with being angry, especially in regard to injustice. In fact, I would be concerned with somebody NOT getting angry over what happened.

Even God gets angry, especially when innocent people suffer. So, just know that the anger I was feeling was coming from that place. The flow I was in, I didn’t discern God wanting to talk about love and peace in that moment. He was addressing injustice!

I am a very honest person, so I was just speaking openly from the heart in that dialogue. My comments were not to be a part of the actual word that I had listed in the beginning of the text. Im also not a "pawn" to the wiles of the enemy. I'm not going to let my emotions get the best of me. But was I angry……um YEAH. Real talk. But I don't believe I was out of the spirit(...if I was I repent) Im also different. Ive been a Christian for 30 years, but when I talk, I don’t use a lot of religious jargon, etc. That’s just my style and how he made me. But it doesn’t mean that its not Jesus just because it looks different.

Again, those were my own personal comments. I have to be real, not fake.

Take care and God bless,

Deborah

Hi Debborah,
First let me start with the fact that I love how sincere you are, not
only in this post but each that I have read. I think there may have
been something lost in the text...
The (inspired) comments that I made were not specific towards
anyone person or persons, but a blanket over humanity in response
to this fleshy world we currently live in. It was simply a reminder to
remember who the real enemy is and to see the division that he
(satan) has caused. To pray for our enemies as they are being used
as "pawns", to try and view them as victims of satan and not only
villians. And yes as Rose had said, "take an ax to the root"... which is
Satan....
