Today, 31st December, is the 7th day of Chanukah, the
Festival of Lights which began at sunset on the 24th of
December. It is also called the Feast of Dedication
because the temple was cleansed and rededicated after the
Romans defiled it. Jesus celebrated this feast as is
mentioned in John 10. So this 8 day feast is a good time
to rededicate ourselves to the purposes of Heaven as we
enter 2017. The last day of Chanukah begins at 6 pm today,
31st December, and the feast ends at 6 pm on the 1st
January 2017. I can think of no better way to enter the
new year than kneeling before the throne and surrendering
all to the King of the Kingdom of Light.
The kingdom of darkness is releasing dark light and
demonic sound at a rate that is leaving many feeling
bombarded by the assault and so it is imperative that we
spend much time hidden in the secret place of His
presence, getting our tanks filled from the treasuries of
Heaven in order to be equipped to release a wave of light
and sound from our earthen vessels to counter what the
enemy is trying to do. Light always repels darkness and we
cannot only be on the defensive. We are able to see the
enemy lying in wait for us as the Spirit gives us
discernment and counsel and we can preempt his schemes and
drive the darkness back even before any attack is launched
on the households who serve the Lord. On this 7th day of
Chanukah, may the sevenfold light of Heaven mentioned in
Isaiah 30 be your portion. 7 is the number of completion
and fullness.May you receive the revelation and light
needed to complete your season of preparation and ride
behind the Breaker as He goes through the gate ahead of
you!
Isa 30:25 And upon every high mountain and upon every
high hill there will be brooks and streams of water in the
day of the great slaughter [the day of the Lord], when the
towers fall [and all His enemies are destroyed]. Isa 30:26
Moreover, the light of the moon will be like the light of
the sun, and the light of the sun will be sevenfold, like
the light of seven days [concentrated in one], in the day
that the Lord binds up the hurt of His people, and heals
their wound .
And may the 8th day of Chanukah, which is the first day of
2017, be a day of new beginnings and contain a flood
release of light for the journey that lies ahead for you
as a vessel of honor. May that light lie like a lighthouse
beam across the waves of the stormy season ahead and
provide a sure foundation for you to walk and not faint or
sink in the day of trouble that unfolds in the earth. We
are the light of the world and this new year marks the
time to be hidden so in Christ that the light of Christ
shines forth from you like a laser beam in the deep
darkness. You are a storehouse of light and Truth. Stand
tall and be all Christ died for you to be. You have
nothing to lose because your life is hidden with Christ in
God and you have already passed from death into life!
In the last few months, the Holy Spirit has been speaking
much to me about light and sound and the release of these
two forms of communication from the throne room for His
army of Bridal saints on the earth. Every day, He draws my
eye to displays of rays of light that other people are not
even noticing and then begins to minister to me through
what I am seeing. It is as if my eyes have been opened to
see a whole new level of the supernatural hidden in plain
sight in the natural. I have been taking a multitude of
photographs to document what I am being shown and hope to
share some in the future, perhaps in the form of a book,
as the Lord releases me to share.
As I was preparing to write to you, the Lord reminded me
of a photo taken in my kitchen during December 2016. My
eye was drawn to the morning light shining through my
bottle of Olive Oil on the counter and casting incredibly
beautiful rays of light towards my spoon rest. This spoon
rest used to be a shiny silver color but much use has worn
off the outer layer. It looks tired and battered but I am
fond of it anyway and still use it daily.
The golden beams were accompanied by a flame-shaped ray of
white light which flickered toward the worn-out heart
shape. immediately I heard the Spirit saying, " I am
releasing oil and light for tired hearts to equip them for
what lies ahead. They shall shine like stars in the
heavens as they lead many toward life through the wisdom I
give them.". Then I noticed the star shape in the golden
light pouring from the oil. A picture is worth 1000 words.
May you be greatly encouraged as you see in this picture
what the Spirit is busy doing with you in this Chanukah
season. The Spirit of Wisdom fills the treasuries of those
who fear the Lord and this is the extra oil needed for the
wise virgins who await the coming of the Bridegroom.
As Isaiah 30 mentions, the Lord is coming to shake the
whole earth and deal with the nations:
Isa 30:27 Behold, the Name of the Lord comes from afar,
burning with His anger, and in thick, rising smoke. His
lips are full of indignation, and His tongue is like a
consuming fire. Isa 30:28 And His breath is like an
overflowing stream that reaches even to the neck, to sift
the nations with the sieve of destruction; and a bridle
that causes them to err will be in the jaws of the people.
However, for those who fear the Lord, there is a beautiful
promise that will unfold in our lives during this shaking
season:
Isa 30:29 You shall have a song as in the night when a
holy feast is kept, and gladness of heart as when one
marches in procession with a flute to go to the temple on
the mountain of the Lord, to the Rock of Israel.
The word for 'flute' in Hebrew means 'the pierced one' and
alludes to our Messiah. Jesus. WE shall be marching in
procession with Him at our head, to the mountain of the
Lord, who is the ROCK of Israel.
I would like to end off by sharing with you the prayer
that appears in today's page in my Daily Devotional. There
is no more fitting prayer to pray over yourself and your
loved ones as we step over the threshold between two
years, knowing we are held safe within the continuing
Festival of Lights, Chanukah. How amazing our Father is to
superimpose these two dates from different calendars over
one another. He truly holds all things within His mighty
hand as we walk into the dispensation of the fullness of
times! Today is the culmination of 'the light of seven
days' as mentioned in Isaiah 30!
Col 1:9 For this reason we also, from the day we heard of
it, have not ceased to pray and make [special] request for
you, [asking] that you may be filled with the full (deep
and clear) knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom
[in comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of
God] and in understanding and discernment of spiritual
things-- Col 1:10 That you may walk (live and conduct
yourselves) in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing
to Him and desiring to please Him in all things, bearing
fruit in every good work and steadily growing and
increasing in and by the knowledge of God [with fuller,
deeper, and clearer insight, acquaintance, and
recognition]. Col 1:11 [We pray] that you may be
invigorated and strengthened with all power according to
the might of His glory, [to exercise] every kind of
endurance and patience (perseverance and forbearance) with
joy, Col 1:12 Giving thanks to the Father, Who has
qualified and made us fit to share the portion which is
the inheritance of the saints (God's holy people) in the
Light.
