God-led Journey of Miraculously Saved Woman
Teresa Neumann (Dec 24, 2012)

"The strange thing is that I had this bird's eye view and could see myself lying in this huge pool of blood, and empty shell. It was as if a hand was pushing on my back. I am certain that it was the Hand of God blocking me, not allowing me to float any further, firmly pushing me back." -Alexa Kirsten

(Cape Town, South Africa)—Several years ago, Alexa Kirsten was brutally attacked and left for dead by an intruder in her neighbor's back yard after she went over to check on a suspicious disturbance there.

Alexa, like her already dead neighbor, was stabbed repeatedly in the neck and lost consciousness. "The strange thing is that I had this bird's eye view and could see myself lying in this huge pool of blood, and empty shell," she explained. "It was as if a hand was pushing on my back. I am certain that it was the Hand of God blocking me, not allowing me to float any further, firmly pushing me back." (Photo: Inspire Magazine)

Alexa's husband Steve appeared a short while later with the police. "I remember Steve kneeling and calling on the Lord," she said. "I will always remember that."

During her recovery she said, "I remember at one stage seeing Jesus Himself at the foot of my bed—He was silently standing there and watching over me with love and understanding in His eyes."

Since that fateful day, Alexa has forgiven her attacker, now in prison, and shares her message of comfort and encouragement around the world.

She remembers one man in particular who approached her after speaking to inmates of Drakenstein prison, the prison where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated. The man gave his heart to the Lord, but still struggled with feeling loved.

"I promised to pray for him for the rest of my days," said Alexa. "I just hope that I am able to be faithful."
