Huma Abedin has been accused of being a "Saudi spy", and there are claims that her family has had ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. And without a doubt, her mother holds to a form of radical Islam that should be antithetical to everything that America is supposed to stand for.

She is already one of the most powerful women in America, and yet the vast majority of Americans have absolutely no idea who she is. Well, it turns out that she worked at a publication run by her mother known as the Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs for more than a decade as an assistant editor. While Huma Abedin worked there, the journal regularly published articles that promoted radical Islamic causes and that opposed the rights of women.

In fact, Abedin's mother edited a book that was published in 1999 "that justifies the barbaric practice of female genital mutilation under Islamic law". If you know anything about that insidious practice, then you already know that it is one of the most horrific things being done to women around the globe today.

Not only that, but one article that was published while Abedin worked there actually blamed the United States for 9/11...

Top Clinton Aide Linked to Radical Muslim Journal

Day by day, the "pay for play" stories of access and leaked emails continue to pile up against Hillary Clinton. Our CBN News team breaks down the political impact.

WASHINGTON -- With just about 70 days to go before Election Day, new details are surfacing about Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton's top campaign aide and her ties to a radical Muslim journal.

Huma Abedin worked for the Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs for more than a decade, serving as assistant editor under her mother who is still editor-in-chief today.

The journal has been known to oppose women's rights and blame the United States for 9/11.

The 1996 article "Women Rights are Islamic Rights" takes aim at then-first lady Clinton and her well-noted line, "women's rights are human rights."

The piece argues that single moms, working moms, and homosexual couples with children should not be recognized as families.

It also takes the stance that modern, more revealing clothing "directly translates into unwanted results of sexual promiscuity and irresponsibility and indirectly promotes violence against women."

In a separate 1996 article written by Abedin's mother, Clinton is accused of advancing a "very aggressive and radically feminist" agenda that was wrong because it focused on empowering women.

Abedin, who stopped working for the journal in 2008, is unapologetic about her mother's beliefs.

"My mother was traveling around the world to these international women's conferences talking about women's empowerment, and it was normal," she told Vogue magazine.

The Clinton campaign has yet to comment about Abedin's work at the journal. Abedin is Clinton's longest-serving and arguably most loyal aide. The devout, Saudi-raised Muslim first worked for Clinton when she was first lady, then followed her to the Senate and later the State Department.

Now she's Clinton's campaign vice chair and could end up back at the White House as some speculate the next chief of staff.
