Her garden...

His Presence all around, beckoning her, willing her to come to Him.

Twilight descends, hesitancy walks, yet the Lamp beckons at her feet.

"Follow me."

His footsteps lead, hers follow, a path twisting and turning, yet His steps are sure, knowing the Way. His steps lead her ever upward, marking the path for her to follow. His voice coaxes her, leading her on, gentle, encouraging, "Come on higher". His voice woos her, drawing her on. The path widens, leading to a place of rest, of sustenance, until energy once again fills her steps. His feet pick up the pace, encouraging her to climb quickly, walking with Him. Once again, the path becomes narrow, and shrubs with thorns along the path seem to grasp at her, tearing at her clothes, pulling at her and making the path difficult. He sees her difficulty and with firm but gentle hands, releases her from the twigs and brambles, freeing her from her predicament, and with a comforting smile, holds out His hand. She grasps His hand and His fingers close around hers. She now feels His strength pulling her and His strength enters her. Her walk is now more confident, her strength growing from Him. His face looks up the path toward their destination and a brilliant smile fills His face. She doesn't know what He sees, but His face is expectant and happy and that encourages her spirit. His faith and hope now fill her, propelling her steps onward, pushing away the tiredness and the longevity of the journey. Her steps seem lighter now, knowing the destination is coming closer. There is the knowledge that the path is not becoming easier but that His strength is sustaining her and His sustenance will refresh her steps despite the difficulty of the journey. There is a hope and a future and a new day is dawning.
