SIGNS - ON THE DOTTED LINE

“Suspicion comes from concealment.

We can only hear God in dark, cryptic sayings because we have the need to conceal.

Religion stays in power by holding on to power.

People can sense religion at work in believers in this manner. They become suspicious because they sense deep within themselves the potential for manipulation.

Openness is the goal – to be transparent.

It is in your openness with them

that you will both see Me.”

Structure is the mystery - in this world structure is a necessity, but because it is in this world it is imperfect. That is why we see the same dramatic dance, the power struggle played out between authority and love over and over again - ad infinitum....   

Because this world structure is imperfect authority often times takes the role of the police. Governmental power / police are prone to corruption.

Sin is the issue. Sin is the result of not being one with God and therefore eachother.

The dynamic tension here is that we are the police - we are the government - we are the pastor - we are the church.

The propensity for corruption comes not from what we can or cant build - but what we all are.

 ⁵Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

 ⁶Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

 ⁷But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

 ⁸And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

 ⁹Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

 ¹⁰That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

 ¹¹And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
