"The Cross demonstrates my attitude toward sin. I take sin very, very seriously. The Cross also demonstrates my attitude toward mercy. I take mercy very, very seriously too. But the Resurrection demonstrates that I prefer MERCY over JUDGMENT. So as as you look at your brothers and your sisters, remember that, and treat them with the same great Mercy and Grace that I showed you."

Amen. Thank God that His judgments are always merciful and righteous - even when He pours out His wrath and anger on those who "are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil" (Romans 2:8).  Praise God that  Romans 5:9 and 1 Thessalonians 5:9  both say that God's wrath is not reserved for the righteous!

James 2:12,13 Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom,  because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

The instance where Jesus said "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone" is the most clear-cut illustration of God showing mercy over judgment.  He COULD have cast stones at the woman caught in adultery alongside her accusers and perfectly obeyed the Law.  But He chose not to.  Some believe that woman was Mary Magdalene, who became the disciple that discovered the empty tomb.

Jeff, I know that America isn't a perfect nation. Do you believe that God's wrath is going to be poured out on America soon?  What about all the righteous people still here in America who serve and love Him what will happen to them when He pours out His wrath?

The course of the United States will be determined by the course of the Church in the United States.  That is what the Lord wanted me to say in response to your question.
