In the book of Daniel Chapter 3, a wicked King named Nebuchadnezzar made a huge image out of gold. He ordered everyone to bow down to it every time they hear the sound of the horn, flute, harp, lyre, and psaltery, in symphony with all kinds of music. He said that whoever does not fall down and worship the image shall be cast immediately into the midst of a burning fiery furnace. Daniels friends Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego refused to bow down. King Nebuchadnezzar commanded that they be thrown into the fiery furnace and ordered the guards to turn the furnace up seven times hotter. As they were in the fire, a fourth man was seen with them who the guards said looked like the son of God. The fire was so hot that it actually killed the men who threw them in, but miraculously it didn't harm Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego were friends with Daniel who was later thrown in the lions den when God sent His angels and shut the mouths of the lions. Daniel came out unharmed because the Lord couldn't find fault in him. This caused Darius and his kingdom to serve God. It is essential who your friends are. If you are connected to weak, lukewarm Christians they will pull you down. The Holy Spirit wants to build an army and He is preparing His remnant of strong believers.

Don't bend, bow or submit when the Nebechenezars try to dominate and control. Refuse to bow down to anything that is contrary to My word. I Am the God who liberates and sets you free from all chaos in your life. Join together with those believers who are strong and tenacious. They are those who will never retreat when in battle. They will stand with you in the fire knowing that you will come out unharmed. As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend..They are those who will stand with you for your healing, they will walk with you through deliverance, and they will intercede when things are burdening you. They will walk with you into the calling that I have placed on your life.
This fiery trial is not unto death but to reveal My glory in your life. You will then see My plans come to pass, and life returned into your body as I lead you out of the fiery furnace and into a glorious relationship with Me; says the Lord.

As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.

Daniel 3:26-28
Then Nebuchadnezzar went near the mouth of the burning fiery furnace and spoke, saying, "Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, servants of the Most High God, come out, and come here." Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego came from the midst of the fire. And the satraps, administrators, governors, and the king's counselors gathered together, and they saw these men on whose bodies the fire had no power; the hair of their head was not singed nor were their garments affected, and the smell of fire was not on them. Nebuchadnezzar spoke, saying, "Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, who sent His Angel and delivered His servants who trusted in Him, and they have frustrated the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they should not serve nor worship any god except their own God!
