“WHO HERE HAS BEEN CALLED TO THE OFFICE OF A PROPHET?

WHEN DID YOU FIND OUT  ?

HOW DID IT HAPPEN ?

WHEN DID YOU GET THE REVELATION ETC ?

 HOW HAS THAT AFFECTED YOUR LIFE AND OTHERS ?

WHAT HAS YOUR WALK BEEN LIKE?”

These simple straightforward questions were actually posted on this forum by a young brother almost ten years ago. He had come here looking for a safe place to talk, share and learn.  The discussion that followed took 84 pages to print out.  A lot of good stuff from a lot of good people.  Well worth the read, especially given the tenor of some of the exchanges I've recently seen jumping from thread to thread here.

Unfortunately, the brother who posted this originally has since left these forums, deleting the title of the thread and some of his own initial comments.  As a result, the material has been languishing…untitled…in the bowels of the Open Heaven archive. The prophetic irony  is not lost...on me at least. An UNTITLED and faceless yet rich discussion on prophetic ministry and the prophetic "office", with honest questions about journeys and roles and titles on business cards.

I hope this helps.  Sometimes it’s necessary to go back in order to go forward.

Most unfortunately, I have found this particular topic to be
of a particular favorite of those who want to do anything
BUT let you have a safe place to discuss it.

I pray the same, Tina. I'm not sure what the overall landscape looks like here anymore, and I'm equally "not sure" what the new Open Heaven will look like, but the tone of some of what I saw as I lurked my way around brought this older interchange to mind.  I really would encourage folks to read through the earlier discussion linked above. There's some really valuable insight. There were a few "hot spots" on it as well, but I truly believe it is worth the time. As I said elsewhere recently, I've been busy being odd, but I'll watch and engage as led and as time permits. Thanks for the encouragement. Appreciate you, sis! Blessings!!!

Looks as if things got a bit quieter. Some of us do not fair well in expressing "feelings" or beliefs when typing, or even rightly dividing between the thoughts and beliefs.

But I digress: I do not qualify to answer his questions.

I don't understand what "office" means? Others have called me a prophet, I do prophetic acts but I always felt a title would and could limit God. He has given me a a crash course on many different things, but I couldn't write a book on just one of them. In order to stay in the flow of his spirit I have had to stay on the surface in the spirit wave to wave and not get stuck on any one thing. He calls me his beloved.

I have never had a problem expressing my thoughts or beliefs
nor my emotions, but there are those here who simply will
not allow for an open free flow of discussion among
everyone.......if only they would back up and allow Holy
Spirit to MOVE among the posts, then some very helpful
discourse could go forth.

There have been times on here I saw and felt the Holy Spirit flowing powerfully during discussions. I honestly believe he wants this, to work as a team. I have seen this on FB to powerful discussions then lifeless and wonder what happened. Any insight would be glad to hear it.
