"INVITE THE LOWLY OF THE WORLD"

July 30, 2009

7When he noticed how the guests picked the places of honor at the
table, he told them this parable: 8"When someone invites you to a
wedding feast, do not take the place of honor, for a person more
distinguished than you may have been invited. 9If so, the host who
invited both of you will come and say to you, 'Give this man your
seat.' Then, humiliated, you will have to take the least important
place. 10But when you are invited, take the lowest place, so that when
your host comes, he will say to you, 'Friend, move up to a better
place.' Then you will be honored in the presence of all your fellow
guests. 11For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who
humbles himself will be exalted."

12Then Jesus said to his host, "When you give a luncheon or dinner,
do not invite your friends, your brothers or relatives, or your rich
neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be
repaid. 13But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled,
the lame, the blind, 14and you will be blessed. Although they cannot
repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous."
Luke 14

(The spirit of the Lord showed me a picture of a beggar who was
dressed in ragged clothes. This man was walking along the side of the
road. His garments were very loose and he carried a staff as he walked
along the road. As I continued to look at him I noticed that he was
taking his ragged clothes off. As his ragged clothes came off,
underneath he had a suit and tie on. Then the scene changed and there
were several people sitting around a long table as if they were at a
banquet dinner. At the end of the table was Jesus, but his image was
that of a King with a scepter.  I looked around the table and noticed
that all the people who were sitting there were of very lowly
positions. Some were women and some were men, and all of them had on
ragged clothes of some sort. One had received a letter that the King
had handed him. On the letter it read, "Welcome." Each person at the
table had received this letter. Then the vision faded.)

The Lord then said,

"This is the way that it is in my kingdom.  I invited the lowly of the
world.  I invite all to come to my banqueting table.  Why are so many
of you unwilling to invite them to your home?  I tell you that I do
not look upon a man's appearance.  I look at the heart.  In this day
and age most people shun the destitute.  Most people turn the other
way when they see a sign that says,  'I am out of work and need
money.'   I am not looking for a people who have influence and power.
I chose you only because I wanted you to know me.

In your churches, many of you do not associate with these people.  You
are embarrassed by them. You associate with your friends and others
that you would like to get to know.  But I tell you, that I receive
them all.  All can come to my banqueting table.  All are received if
they simply believe in me."

This is another truth...SO many turn their noses up at people. Well, it will come a day when the first will be the last and the last will be first. Their money and nice things will no longer be of any good or use.

Lord, help us ALL in Jesus name.
