Under Standing
The View From Below
Throughout history, language has been purposively biased to justify the whims of power, nobility, and the social hierarchy; and ignore the aspirations of “peasants” and “loosers,” including inspired clerics and saints, even scientists, artists, and truth seekers. But if we will start at the beginning, defining so-called “existence,” we will see that diction has been and yet is determined by the purposes of the “elite!”
That is, to this very day, the social hierarchy purposively creates books, and traditions, and social mores. Even among the so-called, “poor,” status means everything to us, even the military heroes. So the seeds of violence yet persist from the beginning of knowledge of good and evil. Or there could be no idolatry, or hierarchal competition, or war without warped justification.
Adam and Eve were content, until they accepted knowledge of good and evil as the rule. Such that “good” to this day now means the best, most powerful, smartest, tallest, most handsome or prettiest, strongest, richest, most intelligent, or rule by lesser gods.
Ordinary grunts like me have no alternative but canon fodder; and Christianity -- and every other religion on Earth -- is ruled by egomaniacs. Except, maybe, Quakers, Buddhists, and numerous invented “cults” I know little about.
Include in the above: artists, poets, military, politics, and holy men. Such that custom is defined by customary values, perceived righteousness, social values, religious tradition, hierarchal purpose, and ignorance of the rule of God, and King Jesus, whoever and wherever man subsists.
The Holy Scripture clearly states that “the Lord is our Pastor.”
Only!
Or, any people, any where, any religion, any tradition, any custom, any organization, or order, or business, or school, or army: not founded on The Rock, Himself, is founded on mere custom founded on people, and pastors, “as the gods.”
The Lord is my Pastor, I shall not want any of that other stuff!
Psalms 23:1 <<A Psalm of David.>> The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
And all of the above has evolved a society competitive and heartless, good and bad, right and wrong, good and evil -- observable to this day even in Christian church or whatever social institution. Seeds of violence.
Hierarchal rule, totem status, in competition, war, trade, sports; even, in church! Same old knowledge of good and evil.
We have never learned.
Now let us go back to the very beginning of such idolatry. Yes idolatry, even in church designed to replace cacophony with love.
Love is seeing no fault (or superiority). And Jesus is Creator and King; The Very Truth, and the righteous Head ruling out priests, mucky mucks, “pastors” or any other intermediary in the mode of good and evil, or any other frame between us, and Truth (John 8:32).
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Truth! Who-Hawed by everyone who knows better.
Or, practically every one of us have pooh-pooh such notions. Why? Because truth destroys the delusion of good and evil by which we all persist in goodness to win in grandiose delusion – as the gods! Where we are “powerful” in the bogus reality of knowledge of good and evil, until we fall, or fail, or get transformed by His mercy.
Give us not justice. But Mercy!
That word above, “reality,” is the problem! In King David’s 8th Psalm he asks God “What is the meaning of it all?” And God answers, “to take dominion over His Creation! But why is that a problem? Because, we have the means to do that already (wherever two or more agree or realize). Realization! Wherever, whenever, humans agree, that power is tapped in the present. And without Truth, because we want dominion, our delusions, instead of truth, only, are realized! For so we have avoided our calling for millenniums, and abused that power for our own short reign “as the gods.” But if and when we agree in truth, obeying His intent, Mankind can move on in faithfulness and glory! Even unto the boundless Cosmos. (And not the Lake of Fire, or Outer Darkness)
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (free of the shackles of vain values and hierarchal dominance)
