TECHNOLOGY AT ITS “SPEEDIEST AND SEEDIEST”
By Mary Lindow through the Holy Spirit

“Now the whole earth had one language and one speech.”
Genesis 11:1

Nothing is new to the King of Heaven and He knows the thoughts and
intentions of men’s hearts.

Just as those building the tower of Babel began to attempt to plan how
they would use their mighty tower to communicate their way to reach
“godly heights” - so are those who are attempting to use media
technology to promote and influence minds with false promises, sensual
streaming videos, online gambling, astrology, and all manner of
entertainment, meant to draw mankind away from simple and quiet
communication with the Voice of the Good Shepherd.

The Spirit of the Lord urges believers who are swiftly becoming trapped in
the dependency upon technological tools, to discipline their flesh from
the lure of "escapism” into dependency on “noise and visuals” to educate,
guide, and inform them.

“Draw near to My Presence in quietness and rest, and return to the place
of simple communication with me.”

Isaiah 50:4
“The Sovereign LORD has given me an instructed tongue, to know the
word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning,
wakens my ear to listen like one being taught.”

Proverbs 8:34
“Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors,
waiting at my doorway.”

“Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of
evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you
have done everything, to stand.
Ephesians 6:13”

This is very true Mary. I see this clearly, I see how technology is much more advanced and it is what the majority of people use to keep their minds occupied. There are so many things that the Lord has withheld from me the past few years and a cellphone has been one of those things...Simple, it seems.."Everybody has a cellphone" most say..But, with good reason I have not had one and I am glad I have not...It would have been a distraction and I have learned a lot from not being able to talk on the phone so much and play around on the internet and other 'tools' as much..God has even limited my internet use...I see how this is his divine plan for me, It has kept me focused on HIM in  away I would not have if I had these things at my disposal to use when I wanted. I only come online when Spirit-lead and I don't even play around on any sites that are not talking about God..period...Something regarding God, besides my email...Don't have time and I thank God for disciplining me and holding things back from me...It has been for my good and I know one day I will really see the fruits of many things.......I feel honored, really......God is good!!!!.

A very good word Mary.  I to have heard the wooing of Holy Spirit to come aside in silence and wait before Him.  To seek and listen.  One has to shut out all noise and distractions.  But there is a place of balance when it comes to technology. One cannot let it rule them, and it is one's responsibility to utilize it wisely.  As with all things that are good (inventions) demons can try to pervert.  It is up to us to steward computers and such to feeding ours spirits and growth, to help us move forward in our walk and not let these things instead, hinder us. For instance, this very forum of communication is beneficial fellowship, and for some, a quick outlet to give a word from the Lord.  Technology is from the Lord, for our benefit, but we must use it wisely.
