Ascending to Kingdom Glory

By Ron McGatlin

A kingdom people are ascending into the spiritual cloud of kingdom glory that is coming down. There is a spiritual meeting of the descending glory and the ascending spirits of kingdom people. The living Spirit of Christ in us is joining with the Spirit of Christ at the throne of God. The inner filling and our outer clothing of the Spirit of Christ is transforming the natural into the supernatural, the earthly into the heavenly, that which was weak into the strength of God. The inner Spirit of Christ connecting with the Spirit of Christ from the throne creates the tangible manifest spiritual presence of God among us.

For centuries much of the church has been living only in the realm of the earnest of the Spirit of Christ by the Holy Spirit. The Bible speaks clearly of the coming upon or enduing with power of the Spirit upon those who put on Christ.

One God, One Spirit

For centuries many of us have, in our understanding, erroneously divided God much too sharply into more than One God. Our God is ONE. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are three manifestations of one God. In the heart of God, they are one. Three distinct manifestations flow out from the heart of God for purposes of work or operation in the created realm. Even so, the three are still fully connected as one Spirit God.

Before the creation of man, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit were SPIRIT God in heaven. Christ Jesus was Spirit and was with Father who is Spirit. Christ Jesus was born a man on earth and after the cross was resurrected and returned to the throne with the Father from which He had come. He then became a “live giving Spirit” and returned to earth in the Holy Spirit to indwell those who receive Him (1 Cor 15:45). Yet, He remains seated at the right hand of the Father. Thus the life of Christ came to earth in the Holy Spirit to indwell His people. We are the temple of God, the dwelling place of Spirit God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) on earth.

His life in us connects perfectly to His life on the throne. There is no distance in the Spirit, and the life of Christ in us intimately connects to God in heaven.

We, in whom Spirit Christ dwells, are becoming one with God by the Spirit of God. Christ in us is the hope (the earnest expectation) of glory. We are to first become like an empty vessel or a blank page for God to fill or write His life, His plan, His purposes of life and order in this world.

Only an empty vessel can be filled. We cannot be completely filled with His life until our vessel is emptied. We cannot know His perfect will and way until our page is blank. We are being emptied out and erased clean. Our independent self-life of fallen-world godless ways are emptied out that Christ may fully live in us. We are to be living sacrifices crucified with Christ and made alive by the resurrection life of Christ abiding in us where we once lived.

This emptying and erasing process is sometimes referred to as sanctification and requires POWER well beyond any natural human strength. However, we do have a part in laying down our lives in agreement with God to be in a position to receive the power from the throne to empty our vessel and be filled with God’s life to be poured out to the waiting world.

The power of God comes upon us by the Holy Spirit to do the works of God.

Not only does Christ indwell us by the Holy Spirit, we are also to be clothed with Christ. We are to “put on” Christ.

Rom 13:14:  But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

This is not talking about putting on the physical body of Jesus. Neither is this just a metaphor or parable. It is a spiritual reality – a work of the Holy Spirit.

The Greek word translated “put on” is the same word translated “endued” in the Lord’s instruction to the disciples to be endued with power by the Holy Spirit. The Greek word is “enduo” and is translated “endued,” “put on,” “had on,” clothed,” “arrayed,” or “having on.” The Strongs’ definition of “enduo” is “(in the sense of sinking into a garment); to invest with clothing”

Clearly we are not only to be spiritually born into the Body of Christ by the Spirit, but we also are to be filled and clothed with the Holy Spirit. God’s Spirit within us and being endued (clothed enduo) with the power and authority of Christ empowers us to do the works of Christ.

Gal 3:27:  For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on (enduo) Christ.

Luke 24:49  "Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued (clothed enduo) with power from on high."

Through the Holy Spirit we put on (sink down into) the spirit life of Christ Jesus from on high. Spirit Christ from the throne completely covers us. We are submerged into the power of Christ in the manifest presence of Spirit God.

Our old identity literally becomes the new identity of Christ. This is not a metaphor. This is spiritual reality of transformation by the Holy Spirit of God. We literally become a new creation clothed with the power and authority of Christ Jesus.

Eph 4:24:  And that ye put on (enduo) the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Because we are clothed in, endued with, the new man which is the Spirit of Christ Jesus in the Holy Spirit, we become righteousness and true holiness. Christ in us becomes Christ upon us in the power of the Holy Spirit. His life literally becomes our life in this world. Our natural mortal bodies put on heavenly supernatural spiritual life of Christ Jesus. Our death of emptying and erasing self is swallowed up in the victory of Christ within us and upon us by the Holy Spirit.

Even natural death of departing this earthly body is insignificant because we are already living in the eternal life of Christ. Truly our natural bodies have put on the immortal life of Christ Jesus in the Holy Spirit.

1 Cor 15:54:  So when this corruptible shall have put on (enduo) incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

There is no more death to the soul that is filled with Spirit Christ within and clothed with Spirit Christ from the throne by the Holy Spirit.

Clothed with Christ by Holy Spirit is the power to protect us and defeat spiritual wickedness. When we put on Christ by the Spirit of God, we put on the whole armor of God. The armor Paul wrote about in Eph 6:10-17 is the works or attributes of Christ Jesus. He is the truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the Word. Again, this is not a parable; it is spiritual reality.

Eph 6:11:  Put on (enduo) the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

When we are endued with the power of Christ in the Holy Spirit we have put on all that is needed to live as Christ in this life. We put on love, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering, forgiveness, bearing with one another, peace, thankfulness, and more (Col 3:12-17).

We are to ride with Him as His kingdom army.

Rev 19:14:  And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

The white robes with which we are clothed are the righteous acts of the saints (Rev 19:8). The white horses are the holy power of Christ that carries us.

The life of Christ Jesus by the Holy Spirit upon and within cleanses and empowers us to go through great tribulation in His presence in white robes washed by His blood (Rev 7:13-14).

The Spirit of Christ from the throne is the cloud of Glory come down that is connecting with the Christ in us. The glory presence is upon and among us. All things are being returned to Christ Jesus the King of Glory. The kingdom of God has come upon us in this day. Because we are in Christ and He is both within us and upon us by the Holy Spirit; we are a chosen generation to call forth the growing remnant army of God to restore the kingdoms of this world to the kingdoms of our God in the power of the Holy Spirit.

We may have greatly under esteemed the work of the Holy Spirit. God is with us in Christ by the Holy Spirit – the Spirit of God on earth dwelling among us and abiding within us.

The presence of God in and among us by the Holy Spirit is magnificent beyond our words to communicate.

Keep on pursuing Love. Love never fails
and His kingdom never ends.

Great Word Mr. McGatlin!

Only a few days ago someone sent me an article entitled, "Emptied from Vessel to Vessel by John Wright Follette."

Some of us have much to learn about who we are and what God is doing in this present season with HIS children!  Thanks for bringing us clarity re our transformation into the image of Christ!

Peace and Love,
