Awakening to Unlimited Life
By Ron McGatlin
However big our view of God is, it is too small. Our minds cannot possibly encompass the magnitude of God.
Even a casual study of the heavenly creations visible in the night sky from Planet Earth exposes a greatness of God far beyond the capacity of the human mind to grasp with understanding. Multitudes of galaxies, single stars much larger than our whole planetary system including its furthest orbits around the sun, our one bright star. With the Hubble telescope scientist view clouds of cosmic dust light years in size spitting out freshly created stars, beautifully shaped galaxies and wonders beyond description.
Or try to consider the process of two cells smaller than a pin, one from a female person and one from a male person, coming together carrying all the many thousands of DNA data to perfectly form a complete living human being with unbelievably complex systems for seeing, hearing, feeling, smelling, rationally thinking, and much more - a living breathing being with the capacity to know and intimately relate to the God who created all things. This and so much more is far too great for our minds to possibly encompass. And all this is simply the handiwork of our God, the same God who loves us and gave His only begotten son to suffer on the cross to redeem us to Himself as His own sons and daughters.
As if that were not enough, consider the reality that God sent His Spirit Son to abide in you and me that within us we can become one with Christ Jesus and Father God. The same God, who with His Son created all creation with the word of His Spirit, now abides within His children by His Holy Spirit. Selah.
Gal 4:6-7: Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.” So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.
No matter how large we may have considered this to be, it is evident that we are not yet fully aware of what redemption and restoration really mean in this life now.
Awakening to the Unlimited Life of God in Us
Mankind and subsequently the world were veiled in darkness at the sin of Adam. We have continued to abide in darkness and blindness unable to fully understand who God really is and who we are truly created to be. It is like we have been in a deep sleep and unable to see or experience what Christ Jesus has really provided in redeeming us. We have been redeemed by the shed blood of Christ Jesus and are restored by the pure and holy life of Christ Jesus in us by the Spirit of God.
God is not limiting us. He is not holding back the fullness of Christ from us. We are limited by what we believe and receive or appropriate.
The awakening of the full scope of redemption to becoming who we really are in Christ and He in us has now begun. The prophets are speaking it. They are proclaiming a fresh invasion of Holy Ghost bringing inner purity and holiness, a cleansing of lifestyle empowered by the Spirit of Christ occupying and filling the lives of believers. In this fresh invasion of God, there may not always be a lot of showiness and outward manifestations, but there will always be a deep transformation. Many will be changed from what has been a somewhat shallow Christian life to a deep all-consuming inner life of love, purity, and real holiness beyond what many people have believed was possible in this life.
Mixture in the hearts of believers will be burned away with the fire of God’s love. The passing church emphasis age was marked by mixture in the people. Many grew stale with inactivity and were settled in unproductive religious and worldly patterns.
One of the most acceptable mixtures in many western world believers is the busy press of secular or carnal natural world activities. Truly running to and fro in an attempt to accomplish more, be more, and have more. Even pleasure-seeking activities add to the crowded scheduling of so many things to do to keep up with the culture of having more and being more. Many unnecessary things have now become thought of as necessities of life in our mentality of mixed motives of self-seeking and God-seeking. Each thing or activity demanded its share of the people’s lives and left little or no time and energy to even consider the deep inner workings of God in our lives.
Making All Things New
I received a word from a friend in Kansas City about Revelation 21:5 in which God said, “I am making everything new!” My friend (J.D. King) went on to point out that God said making things new and not making new things.
The supernatural move of the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Christ quietly slipping into the hearts and minds of His people and taking over our lives with the unreasonable and unfathomable pure love of God, will make all things new.
Our lives will be made new.
Relationships will be made new. The pure holy love of God will make many that were impure into pure vessels. Unproductive and even counterproductive lives will be made new productive lives in the kingdom. Systems of life bogged down with mixture will again flow smoothly as love removes the mixture. Eventually even the world will be made new.
Rev 21:5: He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
Notice that God did not say in this verse that He was making NEW THINGS. He said that He was making THINGS NEW.
He is not making a new person to replace you; He is making you new – a new creation.
He is not making a new world; He is making the world new.
A Renewed People and a Renewed World
The Spirit is opening the way into the fullness of the pure and holy life of Christ in many sons and daughters experiencing the power and love of the glory of God. The quiet invasion of the Holy Ghost into our hearts is making us NEW people to bring forth a NEW world. The coming of Christ in His people is becoming fully joined to the Christ from the throne – the Body of Christ is fully connecting to Christ the Head of all things making all things new.
Now is the day of the supernatural reality of the invasion of the Holy Ghost with hosts of holy angels moving with bright glorious strength from heaven and invading the darkness of the hearts of men. The Spirit invasion is unseen by the natural eyes of the people of destruction who are led by the spirit of antichrist. The secret move of God is changing the world through the hearts and lives of the humble loving hidden multitude of a made NEW generation of God’s people.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit - Rom 5:25.
