My friend Don Pirozok has been working with small teams among Hispanic and other communities for many months now. In one area alone there has been over 200 salvations in the last 5 weeks with many baptized in the Holy Spirit right on the spot.

Just a couple of days ago as Don and his friend went out to minister, a Hispanic woman and her daughter were getting in their car as they approached . The Holy Spirit gave the two guys a word of knowledge and they asked if she was sick with an asthmatic condition. The woman said she had suffered asthmatic attacks for the last several years and “Yes “ she would allow the guys to minister healing to her. When Don and his friend, Arron Leggit, put their hands on the woman, the power of the Holy Spirit came upon her so mightily she fell onto the road as if she had been shot dead. Of course Arron and Don were surprised by such a strong demonstration and knew the woman was not "faking or pretending to fall out in the Spirit or doing a “courtesy drop”, as they had never met her and they were not inside a religious meeting. The woman lay in the street without moving a muscle. Immediately her daughter, who had watched to whole thing, rushed over in alarm to see what was happening. They explained the Lord's healing power was working on her mother in a great way and suggested they could pray for her also. As they laid hands on the daughter she too was "struck by the power of the Holy Spirit" falling onto the road just behind the car. Both mother and daughter lay in the road ,(fortunately shaded) without moving a muscle as if shot dead. Both Arron and Don prayed over them as they lay there giving them words of encouragement not to be afraid as The Lord was bringing healing, blessing and deliverance. (Arron and Don were a little concerned that if someone were to drive by they might call 911and inform the police about someone being attacked. )

RISING IN NEW FREEDOM

After about 10 minutes both mother and daughter rose to new freedom, the mother completely healed of her asthma. Arron and Don then led both of them into the "born again" experience and prayed for the "baptism of the Holy Spirit” and they both spoke in tongues, magnified God and were overwhelmed by Jesus and His love-thoroughly Baptized in Jesus’ Spirit! They have now begun the follow up process by arranging to meet in their home and begin to teach them the basics of Jesus power and the mandate of “going with the Gospel”.

Both Arron and Don inform us that the "power to heal" has increased over the last five weeks to where everyday they see somone healed at some level or other of sickness or disease. Just 2 days after the woman and daughter were healed, filled and saved, they knocked on a door in the city of Yakima. A woman in her twenties answered. They offered prayer for the family. They, then, found out this woman had also suffered from asthma since she was about 4 years old. They shared the testimony of the woman who had fallen in the street and was healed of that same disease-asthma. As they shared faith suddenly rose in the room. The twenty something woman said she believed the Lord could heal her. Standing to watch the prayer was her father and mother, 3 siblings, and 2 other relatives.

Don reports, “We laid hands on her and began to pray for the Lord's healing mercy, she did not fall to the ground but after about 3 to 4 minutes of prayer indicated she had felt some relief. I asked her how much relief and she said her symptoms had decreased by about 50%.” Don goes on, “At that point I felt led to ask if she wanted Jesus to save and forgiver her sins. We preached the gospel message to everyone in the room for about 5 minutes, The woman was gloriously "born again." She gave her life to Jesus and then asked to be filled with the Holy Spirit. She spoke in tongues and was gloriously filled to overflowing. Once again they prayed for her complete healing and all symptoms of asthma left her body. When al the family saw what was happening they all wanted salvation and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. There were about eight in all. They all received”

TEACHING CHRISTIAN BASICS

On Wednesday night Don returned with a friend to give them bibles and teach the Christian basics. The family gadly received them into their home and were all incredibly hungry to learn the things of God and are moving towards becoming strong disciples in Jesus. They then asked the twenty something daughter if any of the symptoms of asthma had returned and she stated she felt she had been completely healed. (Remember this sickness had been in her life since the age of 4 and had sent her to the hospital on many occasions throughout her life.)

You might have noticed all these events happened in just a number of days and not with scheduled meetings. Also, all the ministry occurred outside the four walls of the Church out in the harvest field where the Holy Spirit has prepared them for salvation and healing. You might have also noticed there was follow up with the new converts inside their homes to "make disciples." Training and equipping disciples for harvest is an important element we, in the church, sometimes miss.
