For He shall give His angels charge over thee to keep
thee in all thy ways. Psalm 91:11

As a young woman I had been dabbling in some areas
that were contrary to the Word of God; as a result I
opened the door to demonic activity. When I accepted
Jesus as my Savior and Lord, I was so afraid of the
attacks that came especially during the night. A
friend gave me the scripture Psalm 34:7 The angel of
the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and
delivereth them. That verse played over and over in my
mind hundreds of times. I held onto that scripture. I
thanked God over and over for giving me a strong angel
to be with me, to protect and help me.

There was one occasion where I saw the angel that was
assigned to me. He looked like a tall man, without
wings Two other times angels came with a message of
encouragement for me from God. I heard them speak but
didn’t see them. My husband, Doug, is a prophetic seer
and very often sees angels actively involved in our
ministry gatherings. On several occasions angels
brought scrolls from the Throne Room for each
individual. Doug was directed to open the scrolls and
read them.

The Lord positions His angels round about us. Truly
when we call upon the name of the Lord we are saved.
Salvation is a big package for Father’s children. Many
times he intervenes in your life to keep you from
sudden destruction.

On a cold, Canadian winter day I was traveling south
to pray for a friend in a nearby city. Although it was
a sunny day, the high winds were blowing the snow from
the farmer’s fields across the road. The car tire
caught something near the side of the road and
immediately my car went out of control. There was a
large truck coming towards me in the opposite lane and
my car crossed over and was speeding towards it. I
thought, so this is how it ends.

Suddenly from the depths of my being I screamed out,
JESUS HELP ME! HELP ME! Seconds before impact my
vehicle started spinning in very tight circles,
SPINNING, SPINNING, SPINNING. Abruptly it stopped and
I was facing a deep ditch with the farmer’s field
behind it. I turned and saw that the driver of the
truck had passed me and stopped. He was staring wide
eyed. I gave him a little wave, mouthed the words, I’m
OK, turned my car and headed south. I was shaking,
trembling but praising and thanking God for His angels
that intervened and saved my life.

What of Elisha’s servant who trembled in fear at the
great host of horses and chariots surrounding the
city. Elisha said to his servant, “Fear not: for they
that be with us are more than they that be with them.”
When Elisha asked God to open the eyes of his servant,
the young man could see that the mountain was full of
horses and chariots around about Elisha. God’s angel
armies were moving in to protect Elisha and to war on
his behalf.

I know that many of you can attest to the truth that
without God’s intervention and angelic protection you
wouldn’t be here today. Our Father has not left us
defenseless here on planet Earth where the spiritual
atmosphere is one of constant warfare. We must be
diligent and stand steadfast in the area of prayer and
faith. May the walls of protection remain around God’s
people as we continue to walk in ways of
righteousness. As the days get darker and troubles
come, He alone will be our source of safety and
protection.

How very amazing that the One who created the universe
and set the stars in place knows us by name and loves
us. He is familiar with every detail of our lives and
we can go to Him at any time and have an audience of
One.

1John 3:1
Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed
upon us, that we should be called the sons of God...

Psalm 125
1 Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever. 2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people both now and forevermore.

Lovely testimony of God's goodness and protection!
