He was born a man when they looked for a King
and He called us all to follow HIM
He walked this earth a mere man
but He died and rose as the Great I AM

But in the garden of Gethsemane
He struggled with self just like you and me
But to Fathers will He surrendered His all
He died to the “flesh” He reversed Adams fall

He rose as a spirit sat at Fathers right hand
as we do when we follow Him do you understand?
When we die to ourselves Jesus “walks in our shoes”
we touch others lives when we tell them the news

That although we’re just human we can be spirit you see
when Jesus is living in you and me
Others will see HIM alive and well
when we surrender to Him and let HIM indwell

Then others will see us as just mere “man”
but also a spirit being just as the Great I Am
Jesus was born as a man whilst they looked for a King
and He called us to follow HIM

That’s why He said I AM the Way
the truth the life from my ways don’t stray
Let me fill you with my life let me walk in your “shoes”
surrender to ME so your life I may use!!!!

JESUS THE LIVING WORD!

Thank you Lyn for the beautiful poem. I type through tears as you reminded me of my walk with the Lord yesterday through 6 inches of snow which had fallen during the night on our property. It has been unusually cold in Western Oregon this December so we had an early snowfall. I had some boots which I had never worn and I decided that I really wanted to take a walk in the snow.
I marched the perimeter of our two acres and would turn around occasionally to see my boot prints in the snow.
The thought went through my head that the Lord's feet were in my boots too! The Lord and I had sweet communion on that walk that I will always remember. Then to top it off you print your poem! THANKYOU FROM MY HEART TO YOURS!
