Gatherings of Called Out Ones - By Ron McGatlin
The institutional Church has called many out of sin unto salvation. The traditional emphasis of evangelism and teaching have helped bring multitudes to Christ Jesus as saviour and will continue to do so. Many confess a born again experience with Jesus as a result of the great evangelism efforts of some of the institutional churches of the past few centuries.
Now, in this time, many are being "called out" from the institutional church to increased maturity and new levels of intimately loving God with their whole hearts. More than receiving Christ Jesus as saviour they are fully giving their lives to Him as Lord. These "called out ones" are gladly giving up everything in their lives to serve Him unreservedly with all they have and all they are. They are becoming as true sons of God without the hypocrisy of the past mixture of immature spiritual life mixed with carnal or worldly motives or desires.
God is doing a vast new thing as he calls out a people to intimately relate to Him and experience the fire of His awesome love that consumes their lives and moves them into the life of the Spirit - a life of purity and holiness - a life of joy and peace - a life of miracles and power - a life of awesome worship and high praises in His glorious presence - a life beyond that normally experienced in the institutional Church of the past.
The vast new thing God is doing is wonderful - pure hearted leaders are being formed and put into place in home groups, business place groups, park groups or wherever.
Everything that has been good in the passing institutional church age will be carried into the new era of "gatherings of called out ones". And most, if not all, of the pit falls of past religion can be avoided in the new "free gatherings".
We are in the time of fresh new beginnings as the foundational realities of the free gatherings are just now being seen from heaven and we know little or nothing about what we are doing. We must follow the Spirit and not our minds, which even in the best of us may be tainted with religion.
Those who are being called out early are the foundational (apostolic) people who can hear and see the plan of God from the spiritual realm even though little or nothing yet exist in the natural realm.
The forerunner revival/renewal ministries of the institutional church age are the bridges between the old and the new. Worship, praise, intercession, Holy Spirit Power, and, most of all, the experience of the love of the Father are elements of that bridge. Bridges must remain in place for multitudes to continue to cross over. They cannot move further into the new and must not return to the old.
God is bringing forth the "Christ in you" generation of humble real living breathing sons and daughters of God on earth. The fruit of the new era of Christ on earth through His called out ones is worth all the pain, all the sacrifice, and all that we must endure in the process. Love never fails!
