Turning To God's Love & Holiness - By Ron McGatlin
In spots worldwide, men and women, young and old, and even children are turning toward the love of God that leads to real purity and true holiness. For at least some believers the emptiness caused by self focused and self gratifying lifestyles is leading to a fresh openness to the reality of experiencing the manifest presence of God. Intimate personal experience of overpowering love in the manifest presence of God is changing their hearts and their desires.
Religion is loosing it's hold on many who are tired of the burden of religious form without the real life of God. Often religion can only attempt to make participants feel better about their self centered lifestyles. Religious ritualism and formulas can never bring true holiness. Only the manifestation of the love of God by the Holy Spirit can bring the character and nature of Christ (the very life of Christ) into the hearts of His people. Only God can produce unconditional love, purity, and holiness.
Religion may seek to cause us to know the Word but experiencing the manifest presence of God brings the Word to life. More than just knowing or speaking the Word we become intimate with God of the Word. His grace (empowerment) within us leads to purity of heart and true holiness. It is not a matter of doing - it is a matter of being. As Wade E. Taylor has said, "We are not told in the Word to do witnessing but we are told to be witnesses." Selah
Revival/renewal is being poured out by the Holy Spirit. God's people are being changed in the outpourings of the Spirit bringing intimate connection with the love of God. The glory of God is coming forth in small gatherings and large. From home meetings to massive outdoor gatherings the church is changing as the manifest presence of God is touching and changing His people.
A significant unrest is upon many church people. Things just aren't working for them in the traditional institutional churches which have resisted change. Families are facing increased difficulties and the answers are not in sight. The power to overcome and bring godly order eludes them and they often become discouraged. Many are desperate for something more but are held in religious trappings and denied the experience of the powerful manifest presence of God and His overpowering love.
Religion is mostly man seeking to attain to the things of God. The religions of the world including the Eastern religions and the godless humanism, materialism, and intellectualism of the West are all melted away along with all of their bondages in the intimate love of experiencing the manifest presence of God. It is all about God and what He does with our willing vessel and not about us striving doing things to seek to attain God.
Now is the time for church leaders and God's people around the world to lay aside their doubts and fears and seek the manifest presence of God with their whole hearts. The kingdom of God is at hand. Revival/renewal through the outpourings of the Holy Spirit is now burning as a fire from heaven on the earth. Let's not allow any religious trappings to hold us back from finding the reality of the intimate love of God. He desires that we be intimately "in love" with Him as His purified Bride.
