The End of The Protestant Reformation - By Ron McGatlin
The end of the protestant reformation is in sight. We owe much to the courageous men and women who have given their lives to the furtherance of the "great reformation". Now a new revolution is replacing the old protestant revolution that began midway of the second millennium AD and continues into this first century of the third millennium.
During the later centuries of the protestant reformation the church has been receiving layer after layer of restoration of the power and reality of God. The magnificent manifestations of the power of God in the first century church and in the Celtic church in the centuries before the reformation were lost and did not returned to the church in the early centuries of reformation.
The new revolution now coming forth is not a return to the pre reformation religion and not even a return to the first century church but does have some restored characteristics of the early church. Some of the supernatural miracles and spiritual manifestations of the first century church as well as the Celtic church of the pre reformation period are being restored. The mostly lukewarm powerless church that developed after the protestant reformation has in the past century received significant restoration of the gifts of God in portions of the church.
In the historical periods of supernatural miracles and spiritual power there was a common ingredient present that was not present in the lukewarm church. In a word it is intensity. In the new revolution, spiritual intensity is returning to people of God across the world.
The wooing of the intense passionate love of God is compelling the people of God. The manifest presence of God is a consuming fire destroying all of the other gods that the lukewarm church mingled into their lives. There is becoming a ONE GOD revolution. A move that places God far above all else in life; even life itself cannot compete with the awesome fire of the love and redemptive judgment of God.
Lukewarm has become as deplorable to many of His people as it is to Jesus. Worship, praise and prayer are all intensifying as the reality of the passionate love of God presence is destroying lukewarm living.
More Christians are being killed and severely persecuted than ever before. Serving God in many places across the world has become a very serious endeavor that requires a total commitment. The darkness is greatly intensifying and the light of God is shining more brightly than ever. Lukewarm has no place in intense times.
There is a revolution of intensely loving God with all our strength and mind and loving others with intensity that produces action. This revolution is changing the church and touching the world. The light of the manifest presence of the glory of God is coming upon a people who have nothing left to live for but His desires. This intense passion is the ingredient that was missing and holding back the supernatural miracles and spiritual power. The new church will look much different as this revolution of intimate passionate love produces pure hearted, holy men and women of God that will live in the world as the Body of Christ in reality.
There is an uprising among the young people of God and another uprising among the young people of darkness. The light will overcome the darkness as the people of God do not love their lives to the death and living a pure powerful testimony of the Christ in them - the Body of Christ in the world. Now is the time to ARISE!.
Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.
For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.
The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.
"Lift up your eyes all around, and see: They all gather together, they come to you; Your sons shall come from afar, And your daughters shall be nursed at your side.
Then you shall see and become radiant, And your heart shall swell with joy; Because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, The wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you. Isa 60:1-5:
