Powerful Love Changing The World - Ron McGatlin
The most powerful motivational force known to man is love. Fear is a powerful motivator but love over powers fear and casts it away. Hatred and revenge are passionate motivators and they along with greed, desperate need, lust, covetousness and pride drive men's actions but mature love overpowers them all.
1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.
The word translated "perfect" here means "complete or mature".
Transformation of cities begins with personal transformation. Complete or mature love in men's hearts casts out all fear and pride destroying evil motivations and desires. Purity and holiness are released into the life through mature love. This result is transformation to calm powerful holy boldness to live as Christ is in the world.
1 John 4:17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.
We are now witnessing the beginnings of the most powerful stage of transition that the world has ever known. The most powerful force for transformation is coming forth into the reality of the world. Many are coming into the experience of abiding in the love of God - in love with God. Religion and every other passionate motivator is being dissolved in the hearts and lives of those maturing into the love of God.
In the recent past stages of this current transitional season, the love of God has been seen in His power coming forth to set people free, heal, and deliver many in powerful spiritual revival outpourings characterized by exciting praise and intimate worship of God. The love of the Father has come forth in the diverse realities of spiritual manifestations in renewal gatherings. Through the powerful presence and ministry of the Holy Spirit, transformation and impartation have come forth as people learned to soak in His presence and enter more fully into the work of the Spirit. Prophesy and intercession have moved to greater levels and spiritual revelation has removed the covering from deeper truths of the word of God.
Over the years each stage has prepared the people of God for the next stage. In the early stages of preparation we did not see a great world harvest. Individuals and congregations were transformed and there were those coming in from the world but the focus has been on awakening and maturing God's people. The lukewarm has been passing away as God's people have been becoming fervent in the passion of His love.
We now enter the harvest time. The cross is again looming large before us. Hearts broken by the love of God are turning toward a lost world of needy people with passionate love of God. As intercessors we have wept for ourselves and for the "church" but now the faces of multitudes of lost are appearing in our broken hearts. Multitudes will reach multitudes as each one touches others with the pure love of God.
1 John 4:21 And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God loves his brother also.
THE HARVEST IS ON! This is a sovereign move of God by His Spirit from within His people. It is not an evangelistic program or campaign. As wonderful as the great evangelistic days were, the Billy Graham Crusades and similar works will not be the major harvest machines of this move. Yes, there will continue to be great gatherings and multitudes of stadium gatherings of praise, worship, powerful ministry, and prayer that touches heaven and changes earth, but the harvest will come through a multitude of individual priests - a generation of beacons of light that have been in the very presence of God and are radiant with His love.
The people around them will be drawn to the love and glory of Christ in them. The harvest will mature in multitudes of house churches and business churches as well as local groups meeting in community buildings, store fronts and wherever. No one but the Lord will be able to number the multitude or rule over them. Christ will truly be the head of His glorious church of the harvest.
Transformation of cities will become transformation of nations as the glory of God fills the whole earth. The pride and arrogance of evil hates the love of God and desperately fears it coming forth in God's humble people. The cataclysmic events before us will bring massive destruction to the pride and loftiness of man as prideful men make war against God and His people. Those who can repent will, and multitudes will come to the light and so it is that the harvest increases.
The kingdom of God that is within His people will flow from them to become the way of life over all the earth.(Luke 17:21) The power and Love of God are inseparable. The love of God is the power that establishes, orders, and maintains the eternal kingdom of Jesus. Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
Phil 2:9-11: Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Many, in this moment of the transformation season, who have experienced at least some of the previous stages, are asking, How can I get there? How can I be one that brings the love and glory of God to an insane world that has lost its way? What can I do to demonstrate the supernatural love and power of God to the hurting, dysfunctional, world in such great need?
We must be changed. Even our questions must be changed as our hearts are changed. The question must become, how or what can we? instead of, how or what can I?. In our wilderness season God had moved us out of the institutionalized man controlled structures. He has a purpose in our wilderness experience. He has allured us to Himself in an intimate one on one relationship free from outside distractions. This intimate love relationship is the core of the rest of our lives and must be done in isolation with Him.
Some are just now going into their wilderness experience with Him. Others are yet in process of becoming one with Him in intimate love. And many others are maturing in His love and are now being led out of the wilderness. Their love is now expanding to include the world around them as they are being placed back with people.
First we must become one with Him and then one with one another.
For those coming out there must be a rejoining to the true Body of Christ in relationship with others as the Holy Spirit makes the connections. Small spiritually alive groups are now being formed. They are coming together in intimacy with Him. The intensity of supernatural reality is greatly increasing as the group enters into deep spiritual places with God. The relationships bring multiplication of His glory. The multiplied love and power brings a manifestation of His presence with such glory that the radiance is seen by others and they are drawn to the glory of God upon you and the Christ in you.
John 17:20-23: "I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; "that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. "And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: "I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect (mature) in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
None of us have all of Christ within us. His Body is collective and His Bride is a collective Bride. The "you" in "Christ in you the hope of glory." is a plural or collective "you". In southern USA language it would be "Christ in Y'all".
Beware of the little kings - the controllers and manipulators that seek to draw you together under their control to help them build their kingdom all supposedly in the name of Christ. But allow the Holy Spirit to connect you in intimate relationships with other members of the Body of Christ. Intensely seek God's heart together and allow the Holy Spirit to lead and minister among you. Greater love and powerful miracles will result and the world will know that God has sent Christ among you and will come to the light of His glory.
As you leave the gathering and go about your life show the love and speak of the things God is doing and be ready to pray for the needs of those around you in the world. Miracles will result and people will come to trust the God they see in you. The power of love will change the world around you.
