Seeing God Moving In The Affairs of Man - By Ron McGatlin

God is intervening upon the earth in the affairs of man. Modern REFORMATION began in the 1500s with the return of some revealed light into a time of great spiritual darkness. Hundreds of years later RESTORATION of the power gifts of God through the Holy Spirit moved us toward REVIVAL and RENEWAL which have in turn moved us into intimate passionate relationship with the Father in His LOVE. Experiencing the love of God in His manifest presence is moving us into real holiness.

2 Cor 6:16-18 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people." Therefore "Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you." "I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the LORD Almighty."

The fire of His passionate love is changing us into humble sons and daughters captivated in His love. Prisoners by choice, never again wanting to be apart from His all consuming love. Experiencing brokenness through His manifested presence of great love is bringing us into purity and real holiness. (Joel 2)

Heb 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.

The hand of God continues to move us as He is drawing a people who will draw near to Him in holiness. He is forming us into a people who will lift Jesus higher as Lord and King - Savior and Master of the world. A people proclaiming the victory of Jesus over all the enemies of God and the world. A pure hearted generation of sons and daughters who love God above their own lives. A humble people who value spiritual life and worshiping God above all else.

1 Pet 5:5: " Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,

The hand of God is moving people from "lukewarm" to "on fire" through revival and renewal. People are changing from seeing how much they can get away with and still make it, to seeing how close they can live in His presence and how pure and holy they can become in His love. Changing form only positional righteousness to practical righteousness.

Heb 1:7-8: And of the angels He says: "Who makes His angels spirits And His ministers a flame of fire." But to the Son He says: "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your Kingdom.

As His people are being changed, church is changing. A season of fresh reformation is upon the church. The church is not the church as it was. The church as it has been exist less and less while from the stump of the old a beautiful and pure church of sincere dedicated sold out lovers of God is growing into reality.

Not everyone is seeing the hand of God in the changes coming forth. Habits and traditions are in jeopardy as the hand of God is reforming His church into something different than the church of the past and into something much more like the church of the first century, only more glorious.

God is reforming His church as He reforms His people and the world will be impacted as the church experiences this current "next reformation" season. The church that Jesus is building is destined to impact the world with the reality of kingdom of God living replacing the principalities of the evil one and the strongholds of religious "isms".

This is not about criticizing the church. This is not at all about creating new institutions or structures of church. It is not about adding another denomination with an improved set of teachings. Nor is it about improving the existing denominational institutions and their doctrines.

It is as a fresh new plant growing from the seed of all that God has brought to the church in the past. As the new seedling grows forth it must like all other seeds break out and cast of the old shell that contained it and had kept it safe. It sprouts new roots and grows a new stalk and leaves and eventually produces the fruit of the new plant growing forth with fresh new life.

John 12:24 "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.

The old must pass away for the new seedling to grow forth. There is no resurrection nor resurrection life until something dies. The seed of God, Jesus, was sown into the world and experienced death on the cross that new resurrection life would come forth as a new "plant" in the earth. Jesus returned in resurrection life in the Holy Spirit to indwell and empower those who make room in their heart for resurrection life to abide. Those who will die to their self life that Jesus may live in them. Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. John (11:25)

Jesus is a Jew and participated in the old shell of the Jewish religious structure of sacrifices and rituals. The Old Testament contained Jesus and was the shell from which the seed of the new plant ,Jesus, came forth. The old shell was broken at the cross and the New Testament came forth at the resurrection. Jesus is the resurrection and the life.

Col 2:17 which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.

Heb 10:1: For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect.

In the season known as the dark ages the church drifted back into the old shell and restructured itself after some of the old patterns and for the most part lost the glory of the indwelling Holy Spirit and empowerment of Christ abiding in all His people.

Even in the protestant age of the early reformation much of the old shell was carried forward and for the most part the church remained powerless. Instead of Christ ruling through the indwelling Holy Spirit hierarchies of men replaced the resurrection life of Christ, the true head, with organizations and structures of religious forms and teachings. The Old Testament shell of separation between clergy and laity was brought forward into the church. Even in the reformation of the 16th century the Body of Christ was divided into clergy and laity and most of the potential of the church was lost.

We yet remain affected by the old shell. The next reformation is a breaking out as the church of Jesus (the called out and set apart ones) comes forth in resurrection life power. The same power that raised Christ from the dead is raising up the Body of Christ to become the glorious Bride of Christ.

God's plan has always been to have a people who are all priests and kings. Glory to God! We are now on the move in that direction. Yes, it is frightening at times to break out of the old shell and yes, it is potentially hazardous but God will have His people ruling and reigning with Him in miraculous empowerment of Christ within changing the hearts of the people that will change the kingdoms of this world into the kingdoms of our God. Christ will present the kingdoms back to the Father. Christ in you is the hope of glory. (Col.2 27) (Rev 11:15)
