The Roar of The Lord - Ron McGatlin
Joel 3:16 "The Lord also will roar from Zion. And utter His voice from Jerusalem.
The heavens will shake; But the Lord will be a shelter for His people, and the strength of the children of Israel."
There have been many seasons of "day of the Lord" judgments upon nations throughout biblical world history. The purpose of these judgments is always to cleanse and purify. Evil works and those who hold on to their wicked ways are destroyed by judgments. Those who seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness are purified from their mixture of wicked ways by the burning fire of judgments.
Men and women of God who are yet tainted with a mixture of impurities hidden in their hearts cannot "roar from Zion." The voice of the Lord is not strong in them, and they will speak with a syrupy sweet message of impure love and shallow or false repentance. They deceive themselves and proclaim to others a false message of forgiveness of sins without change. They will group together seeking survival strength. Like a bundle of crooked and twisted sticks, the bundle appears large, but it is porous and weak. They gather together and entangle themselves in a mixture of ungodly unity and seek to meet their unfulfilled inner needs with the substance of one another.
God's Love Produces Holiness
Experiencing the pure holy love of God breaks our hearts and dissolves our need or desire for anything else to fulfill our hearts and lives. The lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life have no more power over those who are fully experiencing the pure holy love of God flowing in and through their lives. Position, prestige, profit, and validation from others, are not required by the soul raptured in the pure holy love of God. Receiving the impartation of the Spirit of Christ can fully heal and cleanse the hearts of His people. The flow of God's holy love and life can produce real holiness in our hearts and lives.
Severe judgments may be required to create brokenness in the hearts of stiff-necked people who have received a measure of the love of God and transformed it into lust for one another and lust for things. They are seeking to fill the empty bruised places in their hearts that were created by the wounds of the enemy. These are spoken of in Jude 1:4 as "ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness....." Any love connections that do not flow holiness are not flowing the pure love of God. Facing judgments can break down pride and loftiness in rebellious people and lead to repentance to begin the process of the cleansing of hearts and lives.
From the GRACE of God flows the LOVE of God that produces the HOLINESS of God in His people. The mercy of God forgives our sin. The grace of God empowers us to live righteously and become holy as He is holy. It is possible for those who yet have impurities from their old lives remaining in their hearts to turn the grace/love of God into lewd, sexually-laden affection for one another. This mixture is deadly and has been the downfall of many men and women of God. Pure brotherly love flows from the pure love of God through a pure vessel. An impure vessel will contaminate the flow and give the enemy place to bring about strong inordinate affections.
A mixture is not holy, it is adulterated. Holy is an absolute condition. There is no shadow of turning in God. All mixture in God's people is unholy. Just men are those who have been made holy by the mercy of God that forgives and the grace of God that empowers to righteous living and makes holy.
1 John 3:7 Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.
James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
Continued unholiness demands judgment for cleansing the impure to produce the pure holiness of God on earth as it is in heaven. Holy God cannot have intimate fellowship with unholy people and will not rule over an unholy kingdom. Above all else God is HOLY! Heaven is filled with the glory of His holiness. New Jerusalem is a holy city of God in which nothing enters that defiles. Glory comes from holiness. The whole earth must be filled with His holiness for the whole earth to be filled with His glory.
God is today uncovering much mixture among those who are called by His name. Church leaders are not excepted from the uncovering of hidden lust and impurities. This is being done at the house of God to provide a space of opportunity for complete repentance and cleansing before the coming season of the "day of the Lord" judgments is fully released. For all who are walking in mixture, it is time to sense a certain fearful expectation of judgment.
Heb 10:27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.
Heb 10:29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace?
Heb 10:30 For we know Him who said, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord. And again, "The LORD will judge His people."
Heb 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
God will have a holy people.
Those who remain after the severe judgments will be a beautiful people of God - a pure and holy people who will bring forth the kingdom of God lifestyle across the earth. The kingdom of God and His righteousness will rule in the world, and it shall be on earth as it is in heaven. Who would have ever thought that we could be among the people who are on the earth when these things began to come to pass? This great transformation that is beginning to come into view in the spiritual realm is the beginning of the fruit of two millennia of sacrifice by many seeking the kingdom of God. Two millennia ago Jesus came to restore the kingdom of God from heaven on earth. Since then men have been pressing into it at the high cost of many martyrs and much persecution from those who are of the enemy's kingdom. The time of the kingdom of God has waited for a multitude of holy people to walk in the love and power of God as mature sons of God. The time of the kingdom of God is now before us.
In that day the Branch of the LORD shall be beautiful and glorious; And the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and appealing for those of Israel who have escaped. And it shall come to pass that he who is left in Zion and remains in Jerusalem will be called holy; everyone who is recorded among the living in Jerusalem. When the Lord has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and purged the blood of Jerusalem from her midst by the spirit of judgment and by the spirit of burning, then the LORD will create above every dwelling place of Mount Zion, and above her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night. For over all the glory there will be a covering. (Isa 4:2-5)
Many today who have already encountered their own personal "day of the Lord" spirit of judgment and spirit of burning cleansing them from the filth of their mixture are entering into the New Jerusalem general assembly and church of the firstborn reality in the presence of God with the spirits of just men and Jesus among multitudes of angels NOW.
But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel. (Heb 12:22-24)
The reality of the current outpouring of God and the open heaven communion of just men with the very presence of God and holy angels is the "firstborn" or forerunner church of the fullness of the kingdom of God coming forth on earth from heaven. Just as nothing that offends can enter this present reality of the heavenly Jerusalem on earth, so is the coming fullness; there shall no one enter in carrying a residue of filth from the past.
God is speaking clearly warning His people to be cleansed in preparation for enduring and escaping the judgments that are coming upon evil pride and loftiness of man in the world. This is not a good time to refuse the word of the Lord. It is a good time to fully repent and seek Him with our whole hearts and become holy as He is holy. That we may enter into the protection of the heavenly Jerusalem general assembly church.
There is a roar of the Lord from Zion.
See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, "Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven." Now this, "Yet once more," indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire. (Heb 12:25-29)
The trumpets are blowing; the voice of the Lord is beginning to roar the message of judgments upon the evil of the world. All that is proud and lofty and lifts itself against God shall be brought down. Only the LORD will be exalted. The holiness of God will be prevalent throughout the world and the glory of God shall fill the earth.
The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, The haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, And the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day. For the day of the LORD of hosts Shall come upon everything proud and lofty, Upon everything lifted up; And it shall be brought low; Upon all the cedars of Lebanon that are high and lifted up, And upon all the oaks of Bashan; Upon all the high mountains, And upon all the hills that are lifted up; Upon every high tower, And upon every fortified wall; Upon all the ships of Tarshish, And upon all the beautiful sloops. The loftiness of man shall be bowed down, And the haughtiness of men shall be brought low; The LORD alone will be exalted in that day. (Isa 2:11-17)
The kingdoms of this earth shall become the kingdoms of our God, beginning with the kingdoms of our purified holy hearts.
Rev 11:15-17: Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!" And the twenty-four elders who sat before God on their thrones, fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying: "We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, The One who is and who was and who is to come, Because You have taken Your great power and reigned."
HOLY, HOLY, HOLY is the LORD!
