How do you tell the difference between a door closing and an attack from the enemy? Can the enemy make things happen to make things difficult? (like stopping you from buying a locker, or making you sick)?

Hi Jess,
Sickness comes from the enemy!!!
If God is closing a door, He doesn't make things happen to make it difficult, He makes it impossible!!!

Hi Jess,
... and yes, the enemy can make things happen to make it difficult. He will try to get you to doubt!!! He will try to get you to doubt God's goodness to you and His care for you. He will try to cause confusion. He will try to get you to doubt what God has said to you. He'll have you running around in circles if you let him.
Hope this helps,
Love Mandy

Mandy,
Plus when God closes a door you will still end up with
peace in your heart. It might take some time for you to
see the peace, but it will be there, usually after some
"smoke clears."

Yes, because I thought God was telling me to withdraw from nursing school. But if I listened to that, it made me feel sad and depressed. And JUST before this I was like getting to a level of living with Him. Like, less lazy and more productive and thinking like He wants me to (gotta use my brain!). And when I thought I was thinking clearly about the situation, I thought, God told me change is coming, He didn't say to drop out. Change is coming doesn't involve me doing anything! It involves something happening externally, right? Yeah! So when I think clearly, I know, God is doing a miracle, and God doesn't need me to fail for His plan to work out! Thank You Lord!

Hi Larry,
Funny, but I was thinking about the peace you mention, throughout the day after I posted. Reflecting on the peace you can experience in a difficult situation when you know its God's will for you to stay there, or alternatively, the peace you can experience in making an enormous decision for change, which can appear sheer madness, but when you know God is in it with you.
And, yes, the peace you refer to when God has closed a door, because you know that there are better things to come.
Hi Jess,
It's interesting that you say that JUST before you started getting confused about what God was saying to you, you were getting to a level of living with Him. Crafty how the enemy works, trying to disrupt your peace and your growing relationship with God, just when its getting really established.
And yes, God doesn't need you to fail for His plan to work out!
Love Mandy
