I am going through a time of God bringing up shocking things in me to the surface. I am so shocked at the things. I keep repenting of it but it's still there. How does it go. Does it just dissapear one day? How do I get rid of it?

If you have repented of something God has forgiven you Sister. YOU need to let go of it. One of the enemies biggest tricks is to keep reminding you of your past. When satan reminds you of your past, remind him of his future! You have been washed in the blood. Love ya Sister!!

In agreement with Anita, but if it's a habit you're referring to that hasn't gone even though you've repented, then you can invite the Holy Spirit in to heal the root cause and let Him guide you to freedom. He's amazing at knowing just what to do.
Love Mandy

sometimes... it is necessary to extend forgiveness to our selves and
honestly forgive ourselves for our actions. Self-forgiveness is as
important as forgiving another person who has done us wrong. I know
that for me, greater liberty and release came when the Lord made me
aware that I needed to forgive myself for the sins and failures that I
had done in my life that affected my life and the lives of others. It
was amazing how much freedom and liberty came as a result of walking in
forgiveness towards myself.
Sometimes, we are just way too hard on our selves... where if another
person did the same thing, repented and asked our forgiveness, we would
gladly forgive and be reconciled... yet we just can't see to cut
ourselves the same grace and mercy....
truly it is time to 'forgive ourselves' and release ourselves to walk
on in the grace and mercy Jesus has paid the price to provide us....

Jess every issue and struggle we face is a struggle between self effort and allowing the LORD to fight the battle. We as believers have been educated through religion to fall back on the dead works of legalism, self effort..
Amen Julie, forgiving ones self is viatl, also choosing to release, forgive all other hurts in our life..This is one major reason we are tormented and struggle is because we dont understand how to let things go..To decide to close a door, and think no more on it is how God looks at sin and so must we to gain total victory. A lot of us mistakenly let the mental parade of the past hurts cloud our judgement, thus we keep making bad choices.. Lay an axe to the thought process, (repent- change your mind) and u will have won the battle..
Then we must ask the LORD to give us holy sanctified desires, that bring purity and closeness with HIM...
