Fruit That Remains

By Ron McGatlin

The End of an Era of God
The end of an era is the beginning of a new one. Every day many older people die and are gone from this life. The same day many new people are born into life in the world. All of the millions of people who were mature adults when I was a small child have passed away. There is a continuing natural attrition of humanity and a daily birthing of new life on earth. In the natural scheme of life, generations come and go. Historians observing seasons of human life identify a lengthy season of some general commonality through many successive generations as an era or age of history.
Within the framework of an era, the wisdom and skills of each passing generation are usually of significant value when passed on to the new generation. However, when an era ends and a new era begins, many aspects of the old era do not carry on into the new. Some specific methods, tools, and skills that were useful and valuable in one era may be unfruitful in the next age of life.
The last generation at the end of an era may encounter major shifting of life-patterns that had been passed down through many generations. The first generation of a new era will need new methods, tools, and skills to successfully and productively function in the new season.
Traditional understanding and skills of the past era may be a hindrance in the lives of many who may have difficulty shifting into the new reality of life. Some people in the transitional generation may not make the shift and try to operate all their lives with the old tools of the past era. Others may make only a partial shift to the new, retaining some of the old ways all their lives. More than one generation may be required to cleanse the past ways from the people and plant the new ways of the new era.
As it is in the natural, so it is in the spiritual.
Multitudes of followers of Christ worldwide are realizing that we are entering into a new era of spiritual reality on Planet Earth. As the past spiritual era comes to its end, much of what was productive is passing away.
2 Cor 3:11-12:  For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much more glorious. Therefore, since we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech.
A massive tree that has stood through generations and provided useful service and fruitfulness will eventually come to its end. The massive tree that began as a small sprout left to its natural course will grow old, die, and fall to the ground to decompose and enrich the soil for the tender young sprouts growing nearby. The many years of fruitful service are finished with the final major service of its entire structure being dissolved into enriched soil in which the new era can grow into fruitful service. Our hearts may feel sadness as the familiar and even cherished structures of past life crumble and dissolve. The end can come suddenly, especially if the tree becomes diseased. The tree that has withstood many strong storms will weaken and become brittle as it grows old. It may break apart or be uprooted in the next storm that comes by.
Some structures that have served greatly in the past spiritual era are now coming to an end. Their fruit will remain only in the enriched soil provided by their dissolving that will grow the new spiritual era from the seed of Christ.
What is dissolving, and what is sprouting?
Since the late 1980s, God has been speaking through called and chosen apostolic/prophetic trumpets regarding the new era that we entered some time around the start of the new millennium. Many articles and books have been written and many more will be written bringing pieces and parts of the vast array of endings and beginnings of the new era. The changes in the new era are far too extensive to address in one article or even one book. Some general categories of significant change are:
  • From the shadows of religious form and rituals to spiritual reality
  • From dead religion to intimate spiritual relationship
  • From studying about God to experiencing Him by the Spirit
  • From knowing about God to intimately knowing Him and being known of Him
  • From intellectually discerning the Bible to receiving revelation of the living written word by the Spirit
  • From going to “church” to being the church (ekklesia)
  • From a “church” growth emphasis to receiving the kingdom of God
  • From striving to keep New Testament rules to living and walking in the Spirit
  • From hoping to escape from the world to victoriously overcoming the world by the power of Christ in us by His Spirit
  • From pastor-ruled clergy/laity “church” to gatherings under the headship of Christ by the Spirit with the spiritually mature ones (elders) training the immature
  • From hierarchal “church” systems to relational apostolic networking
  • From limiting spiritual function to a segment of our compartmentalized lifestyles to being led of the Spirit throughout every facet of our unified non-segmented lifestyles
  • From an immature child of mixture (individually and as a corporate Body) to mature pure and holy sons of God, joint heirs with Christ Jesus
  • From seeing the grace of God as a whitewash covering for our continued weakness and sinfulness to receiving the grace of God as empowerment to live holy lives
  • From the beginning of wisdom in obedience by fear of God to the mature wisdom of experiencing the love of God
  • From chasing after the things of God to resting in His presence and provision
  • From a scattered people with spots of contamination and wrinkles of impurity to a pure and holy purified Body of Christ becoming the prepared Bride of Christ
This massive change is much more than a generational changing of the guard. It is in its final reality, the dissolving of the ways of life we have known and the coming of heaven’s ways of life. Great shakings will bare the foundations of life and expose their origin. Every area of life on earth must stand on the foundation of Christ Jesus. That which is built on the foundations will be built from the pattern of the rule of God from heaven.
Ultimately all human life and activity will be transformed including business, family, education, government, worship, and every facet of life. The cross of Christ – the precious shed blood of Jesus has purchased the redemption of the world. The resurrected Christ in whom is all the fullness of God, all authority, all power, all love, all wisdom, and all glory abiding in His holy people on earth is worthy and fully capable to complete the work of redemption of the world. Christ Jesus, the one through whom all things were created, came to earth sent of the Father to save the world.
Do not be discouraged when you see the crumbling and dissolution of the world around you. I have come to cleanse and renew My world and My people. Do not fear when the mountains fall and the seas roar as My pure and holy love invades the world of evil dissolving the vile from among the precious faithful of My choosing. Again, the heavens and the earth shall rejoice – Behold the Lamb in all His glory – My son in whom I am well pleased.
Isa 40:5: The glory of the LORD shall be revealed, And all flesh shall see it together; For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.
Num 14:21: but truly, as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD.
Psa 72:19: And blessed be His glorious name forever! And let the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen and Amen.
Fruit That Remains in the New Era
The usefulness of living trees of godliness mixed with religion and secularism that served in the past era has come to its end. Religion has become a tree with leaves and no fruit. When there is no fruit, there is no seed. The seed is in the fruit.
Mat 21:19: And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, "Let no fruit grow on you ever again." Immediately the fig tree withered away.
When religious people pass away in this season of the barren tree being rejected of Christ Jesus, no seed remains on earth to transcend into the new era.
Seeds of Christ in fruitful sons die and sprout in the new era to bring forth the fruit of holy life in the kingdom of God.
John 12:24: Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
Vintage-time Draws Near
Jesus spoke the following to the fruitless religious system leaders of His time on earth in His incarnate body. He is speaking the same today in His Body to the unfruitful “church” systems of today.
Mat 21:34-43: "Now when vintage-time drew near, he sent his servants to the vinedressers, that they might receive its fruit. And the vinedressers took his servants, beat one, killed one, and stoned another. Again he sent other servants, more than the first, and they did likewise to them.
Then last of all he sent his son to them, saying, 'They will respect my son.'
But when the vinedressers saw the son, they said among themselves, 'This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.' So they took him and cast him out of the vineyard and killed him. Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vinedressers?"
They said to Him, "He will destroy those wicked men miserably, and lease his vineyard to other vinedressers who will render to him the fruits in their seasons."

Jesus said to them, "Have you never read in the Scriptures: 'The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone. This was the Lord's doing, And it is marvelous in our eyes'? Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a people bearing the fruits of it.

Keep on pursuing love. It never fails
and His kingdom never ends.

Excellent!

Had been thinking on similar matters this week....such as how humans
have attempted to implement and produce what we think we are seeing,
and how it always falls short and can even lead to divisions and such
things as denominations etc if they are clung to or sought to be made
exclusive. Our vision always falls so short of His. But was VERY EN-
couraged and not DIS-couraged over this. Being reminded that He WILL
do it!!

It's almost like what we see may be a blueprint drawing or a pattern and
then give it a little "twist" of our own perception as different from the
fullness of His heart and mind and it just isn't quite "it".

But God is there moving and present because this is the way He is..He will
be there because He so greatly loves us and His creation, however really
cannot be contained or packaged in these things of men's design. He is
ever moving and leading us toward more fullness. And in its fullness this
will be HUGE.

Was reminded of waters. Waters are a multi-dimensional substance. We
can move and navigate through several dimensions of water. Yet it's STILL
only a poor pattern of the fullness of this!! I can't even grasp or imagine
what God has in store...however waters are perhaps a better picture. Hab
2:12-14 ) picture the contrast of people wearing themselves out to build
a kingdom and carve out a name vs - the glory of His kingdom to cover
the earth as the waters cover the sea...very interesting reading in that ch.
Ez 47 depicts the ultimate - the waters so deep they can only be swum
in. Rev 1:15 says Jesus' voice was like the voice of many
waters...wow...and I have long favored Gen 6:11 as an awesome depiction
of the meeting of Him in us (earth) meeting and merging with Him from
heaven - and even the deep opening...this awesome convergence of
heaven and earth that cannot be contained, covers everything, fills
everything, and is seamless deep wide, etc etc etc...

All I can think to do is to be open to move with Him - sort of floating
along in some ways..cooperative movements...not to try and force fit or
contain anything..expectant but not trying to define too specifically what I
do not fully grasp..

Dear Ron,

I am greatly encouraged to read this. Also another post
"sons of light". Things are beautifully expounded. I
really appreciate the list as quoted above.

The essence and the test of a present leap or transition
is the heart of trust and love unto the Father as sons,
and as an expression and a command, unto those of our own
household. Lip-service will not do as the measure of His
dealings become more and more intensified.

Time is short and fleeting. I personally have sensed the
urgency in His heart. (It might be my own feelings. I
subject to other's discernment of this.) A whole train of
events are quickly approaching us, some would be most
confusing and up-setting to those who are still unwilling
to let go things of past and self-centeredness. One of
the greatest shaking of what was built by man is on the
verge of breaking out. Unless we find our new orientation
in the will of the Father in this time of release, the
grace, as the same time, judgment of God, will be like a
torrent to us. To those find the trust in the heart of
the Father and their place in His will, it is but a ride
in His Ark that is carrying us to places we never would
thought of.

Now the day of sons has arrived. The Father is watching
closely that we each settled in heart with the things to
come.

Hear and obey is more than a test, it will be the pattern
of the life of a son or child, "mature" or not. "If you
love me, you would obey my command".

It is a heart issue. I thought of the instance of Joshua
and Moses. Joshua was young, but he was one heart with
Moses in almost everything. The reason is that his heart
was longing for the things of God.

Jesus said of the children "those in heaven are just like
these". "Be innocent as dove, but shrewd as serpent".
Something to that effect.

Just a thought. :)

---
Before I forget, DD, I really appreciate what you shared
here.

Quote:
From intellectually discerning the Bible to receiving revelation of the living written word by the Spirit

Amen.  The letter killeth but the Spirit gives life, but our daily bread from His Word gives life.  The Church is still living in many ways in the Old Testament.  Most still live with a sense of condemnation.  We are not walking in the truth that we are ALL priests and kings; rather we treat pastors as "priests" and depend upon him to intercede and pray and minister for us, when in fact we are ALL ministers.  Most think of God as "afar off" when in fact we are told to BOLDLY approach the the throne.  Most believe in some form of works when in fact by grace we have the SAME standing with the Father that Jesus had, we are in fact, HIS Righteousness.  So this phase of the Church is when we begin to walk in the fullness of WHO we are and in WHAT He purchased for us in the Cross.

Also, the intellectual approach to the Bible is eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.  Meditating on His Living Word as led by His Spirit, saying it so it feeds our Spirits, is eating from the Tree of Life.  The Bride is weak because she is still eating from the wrong Tree.  He wants us to eat from the Tree of life.  The Tree of Life is His Glory, His Resurrection power.  Man lost the Clothing of God's Glory when He ate from the wrong tree.  That Glory is restored when we eat from the right Tree.  The Old Testament can be compared to the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil because the KNOWLEDGE of Good and Evil IS the Law.  The New Testament can be compared to the Tree of Life, which is His Grace and Truth.  When we eat from the Tree of Life, we are transformed by HIS Life.  This is the day His Bride is resurrected, and it will come by Her partaking of The Tree of Life, His Glory.

Denise and Jeffery -  A big Amen! It is great to know that many folks are not just talking about the major shift to the new era, rather you are living it in practical daily reality. - Praise God for the new first generation of the new era of God.

Kathy and Bill, Thanks for the big Amen.

Love and respect,

Ron

Yes..I appreciate this post. Thank you Ron.
..Douglas Clark shared something the other day with me which I know to be a reality in my own life – “when you are looking on the outside all you will see is wrath but when you are looking inward all you will see is His mercy, compassion and transformation” – I would add His Faithfulness to this.

I relate this very much to what you have written here.

Ron McGatlin wrote:

I think this new era in our lives is very much about moving from the outer court and into the inner court -- the Holy of Holies where we live and move and have our being and find He is our provision and safety. We go in and out for a while  Those who are already in their booths now are rejoicing in this divine union with Him --- .they have gone past the peripheral vision of the outer court and moved into that "core" or inner life with Him in total security in their Father’s Love and placement.

Blessings,

Maria.

The fruit reveals the root.

In this transition in moving from the outer court into Tabernacles, or the inner court He brings us into a certain State of Grace which is best explained as this -----: "There is no food in my outer court for me.....my outer man is withering and fading away. ...He has led me into His chamber and into His banqueting table and His banner over me is love … He is my provision and I am in His provision….All I have need of is supplied in Him within...He is  my All in All....I feed from His hand and from His mouth day and night and His Word is sweet in my mouth, His food which is to be the will of my Father, nourishes my innermost being….The food my Father gives me are like kisses on my mouth -- He has carefully selected my food, my food is meat indeed and I receive Him with great joy—for it is the bread of affliction through the Night for the joy that is set before me in His Day . …oh taste and see that the Lord is good…I receive of Him --- I eat and drink of His flesh and blood.…...to eat of me is to partake in my afflictions, become humility and taste of my sweetness....and out of my innermost being He flows. ... the inner court where all the preparation is which leads to the bed of consummation. .His Word/Him are kisses on my mouth....my Word is nigh your mouth...even on your lips...Father, my food is to be your will."

Being His Will is the Fruit which remains. as is seen in Ezekiel.

 Ezekiel 3: 1 -3.
My word is nigh unto your mouth...

To Ezekiel when he was told to eat the scroll He thought that's going to taste terrible, bitter and dry,.....this means the harsh "afflictions of Christ" --- then it was honey for sweetness in His mouth.......Often we say, I can't swallow that --- meaning I cannot obey that word, I cannot live it....I cannot partake of His Flesh & Blood....it is too hard so we just nibble at it and leave it on our plates, and move on in our flesh--- we do not chew it well, meaning meditate, utter repeatedly, which is to grind it in affliction. But with His Sons, as with Ezekiel He will give us this scroll and once we chew it and move it around in our mouths so it makes contact with our taste buds which is in union/communion with Him and fellowship with His sufferings- the sweetness is released..the sweetness is the ripe fruit --obedience, Love, patience, gentleness, long suffering, joy, kindness etc...now He has become sweetness on my lips... He is Word and we are One .This is the intimacy we have with him as we  bloom to fullness of age and beauty as His Bride...He is sweet kisses on my lips....and we are sweet kisses on His lips --- we are now loving Him back with His own love….with His joy, His gentleness, patience, kindness, long suffering This is my food --it is to be the Will of my Father --- to be the Will of our Father is the Fruit He feeds from in our consummation or union  with Him, the fruit of our lips ---  the fruit which remains.

Blessings, Maria

A little more to add taken from something I wrote a few weeks back. It is incomplete.
But since Ron has posted this important topic which is very much on our Father's heart it would be good to post here..

The placement of His Will that produces the fruit which remains is to Be His Will.....This is a
"State of Grace"  which manifests itself in constant abiding & rest." which comes through brokenness and humility.

To "pay lip service"
means we have not yet come to that place of  loving him back in intimacy with His own love....it means we are still eating from the "Tree of the knowledge of good & evil" which has it's root in "self"....take an "axe to the root" of the tree of "self"  and the viper/self righteousness within will be cast down --- that means  through his grace and many dealings the "log in our own eye" has been revealed in & to us and we have removed it -- we have ceased "accusing & striving" with our brethren and all men --- this is the preparation within for the coming of the Nature of the Lamb in His Tabernacle -- us, (He comes in varying aspects of His Personality which is superseded by certain, fore -ordained States of Grace ) === this is the "John the Baptist Ministry" within which has already been fulfilled in His Sons--- those in whom this "man of sin" has come to full bloom, been exposed and cast into the fire of this age.....The Accuser of the Brethren in us who accused them and us day & night has been cast down....He has already been overcome by the Word of our Testiimony written with and in The Blood of the Lamb.

Getting back to the topic:

The placement of His Will that produces the fruit which remains is to Be His Will.....This is a "State of Grace" that comes through brokenness and humility.

-- to be pruned back to full abiding in Christ and His humility is where the fruit that remains grows from....

Humility bears beautiful fruit which continually remains--  gentleness, kindness, patience and love for all..
.
this age is about being pruned back more than anything else,  pruning away all the lush but showy foliage with all it's  unfruitfulness,  pruning away the traditions of the pentecostal age right back to the humility of Christ, so  the fruit that grows from this Christ Tree is plentiful, sweet, nourishing, fresh, full and ripe and sweet to our Father's and Family's lips....Praise His beautiful name -- the fruit of our lips praise Him, thank Him, and adore Him.

Fruit is very much on our Father's heart...it is what He has created us for ...He is wanting fruit....but understanding that His fruit is bitter - sweet....He is Word in us as flesh, as in Ezekiel 3 and all the prophets which are fulfilled in Christ and His Brothers and Sisters of obedience- The root of Christ is "bitterness" ( I don't mean ungorgiveness or a bitter spirit) but "grinding of the "flesh" in affliction" or "suffering" but it produces the ripe fruit of sweetness....love, joy, gentleness, long - suffering, patience etc.   These are our kisses and love language in union with Him..Solomon says sin is sweet to the mouth at first but afterward your mouth is full of gravel. The fruit from the tree of "self" or "The Knowledge of Good & Evil" is sweet to our mouth at first.  Much of the unlasting fruit of "self" we have seen in the past has been sugary, syrupy sweet to the mouth at first but has had no nourishment... It has been as gravel in our bellies -- or grinding in hunger in our bellies and has brought no lasting nourishment...and has left us hungry and empty and left His basket empty as well.. He will not accept the sacrifices of Cain.. this has been the food in the outer court for a long time now. This famine is of Him, to draw His Sons into the full abiding of Him in the Holy of Holies where we find He is our provision, our All in All.. He is finally and fully satisfied with His pure, undefiled fruit in the Holy of Holies...it is an acceptable sacrifice from His Tree of Life within and it's Fruit..This Fruit is the rapturous consummation between us as His Bride and He as our Groom.

In His Grace,

Maria
