Engulfed in Peace

By Ron McGatlin

Injustice exudes from an upside down fallen world.
The masses have had their minds inverted and their hearts darkened.
Wisdom has hidden and righteousness has departed far from them.
The shrewd and strong take from the weak and simple and no one intervenes.
They spend wildly what they do not have for what they do not need.
They trample the precious and embrace the corrupt.
They reject truth and cherish lies.
They kill their babies and pamper their pets.
They sleep with a viper and run from a Lamb.
They abandon their wives and molest their children.
They run after knowledge and turn away from truth.
Their judgment is upon their heads and they know it not.
The devourer is upon them and their time of loss is at hand.
Their leaders take them the wrong way and they do not discern.

Their sin has separated them from their God (Isa 59:2). They have turned from Him and He has given them over to perverse reprobate minds (Rom 1:28).

To have spiritual eyes and understanding is a burden. Seeing what should be and finding no way for it to be is a source of great frustration and discouragement. To see our once blessed nation crumbling and the children wasting their lives brings great pain. To see the armies of evil moving in to devour the strength of the people is sad beyond measure. However, the hardest part of all is to know the solution, to have the remedy to save the land and restore the people and be violently turned away. This is the most troubling and frustrating of all.

But take heart and be filled with courage. God is not finished yet. There is a kingdom reality manifesting now with us and before us is the righteousness, peace and joy of the glory of God on earth as it is in heaven.

In the midst of the devastation of cataclysmic events of judgments, a great light shines through on the horizon. Beyond the smoke and dust of devastation the Kingdom reigns and the glory approaches. Look up to the light and be engulfed with total peace beyond all reason and understanding. Even in the midst of great destruction your heart will be at perfect peace and rest. Warmth and comfort will supernaturally engulf your heart and life. As the light approaches, the peace of righteousness will become joy unspeakable and full of glory.

Do not dwell upon the news of death and despair. Do not set your eyes on the evil that is being dissolved but look up and set you affection on the light of our glorious KING the LORD of all and His kingdom of righteousness, peace and joy.

Keep on preaching and demonstrating the kingdom grabbing hold of those who come running out of the fire. Refresh them with the pure cool water of the Spirit and provide them a fresh clean change of cloths. Many will be saved even during the cleansing fires of judgment. Supernatural faith and peace will be graced to you to finish the work of God allotted to you. You will be engulfed in peace hidden in a cloud of His love. Set your mind on things above. Set your affection on heavenly things of Christ Jesus in the Spirit.

Col 3:2:  Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

Let your life be consumed in the Spirit. Let you daily moment by moment walk be in the Spirit.

Gal 5:25:  If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Be led of the Spirit in all things and lean not unto your own understanding.

Prov 3:5:  Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding.

Rom 8:14:  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

Psa 91:7-8:  A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked.

Phil 4:4-7:  Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Phil 4:8-9:  Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy; meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.

Keep on pursuing love. It never fails
and His kingdom never ends.

Yes Beautiful word Ron.  We must remain in peace with our minds set on things above.  I love what you said about being ready to grab ahold of those running out of the fire and offer the water of the Holy Spirit to refesh them as we as a change of garments.

Knowing that many of these opportunities (if not already are upon us, very soon will be) and that this should be encouragement for us - to keep us seeking the Lord for more of Him and less of us.

We must be ready and filled with his love, peace and all that they are seeking and have not found in the place they are running from.

Blessings of Isaiah 60 to you!!!

The Lord is so good! This post sounds like the conversation I had with
my pastor yesterday. In the quote from your post I snipped above the first
paragraph would have been me and the second half my pastor.
I shared my frustrations about what I've been seeing and feeling so
helpless in a sense. She reminded me to look to God and that He has big
plans and great things He's going to send down the pike. She always
reminds me of the scripture about how man does all these horrible
things but God sits in the heavens and laughs. This always bewilders me
a bit when I hear her say it since my flesh is like "God? You're laughing
when man is doing all this horrible stuff/plans?". And then my faith steps
in and reminds me that God is a big God and He can handle the littleness
that is mankind.

Great post and I feel encouraged. Again, God is good!

Burden as Judgment.

Ron ~ " Injustice exudes from an upside down fallen world.

The devourer is upon them and their time of loss is at hand.
Their leaders take them the wrong way and they do not discern
."

I got a revelation when i was reading the above - the inversion is illustrating inordiniate-opposite affections -

lies for truth

viper - lamb

corrupt - precious

the focus is the exact opposite of what it should be

how could emotions/affections diverge-swing so "perfectly" like that unless the point that they swung from was true-level?

It is like a balance that is used to measure what is level.

We are taught that there are gradations of truth - that our affections are neither right nor wrong - that they are unto themselves perfect.

But if the measure of perfection is what is level - how can what is level be corrupted?

If each side of the pendulum hinges not upon ourselves but from Truth what does that say of the pride of correctness?

If I am "level" headed does that mean that I am proud or does that mean that I am open like a child?

If I am level can I use my correctness to measure others by?

Or does it mean that I can rest care-free from the only standard that is level ?

Blessings,

Vincent

Thanks Cheryl.

Vince, I think if you are level headed and dip snuff and it seeps out of the corners of your mouth it will seep out equally on both sides.

If you are not level headed it will run out of one side more than the other.

This is my humourous way of saying that I don't have a clue how to answer your question.

Man has become alienated from God since the fall and the progression has impaired our understanding/intelligence. We who have departed from our forefathers devotion to God and His way of doing things! this  has decreased our ability to discern good from evil.

Ron.

I'm glad you are asking this question because I often have a hard time understanding Vince's posts.  No offense to Vince at all.  Your way of communicating is very creative and just different from what I'm used to.

BYW I had to LOL when I read your response to Vince because I could so relate to what you were saying

Great post either way!

Hi Ron, In answer to your question, i have to say that what i percieved Vince asking was a Theistic question mixed in with some deistic thought process. I am not 100% lets ask Vince! only he knows what he was seeking after. I may be wrong about this, you know how fickle perception can be.

I'll try and be plainer when i post - i just use some brush strokes-licence with philosophical textures that unless you are hip to them might seem like either a cold medical instrument or high french....

kinda like standin in an Art Museum and looking at a painting and coming to a consensus about an abstraction ...

actually it wasnt a question ... lol

ummm ok ... here goes ...

in order for something to be opposites they have to diverge from the same source -

for instance you cant have cold without hot and hot without cold - they are on a scale - all connected by Degree.

A degree is a measurement. A correct measurement has to do both with perception and authority. If I dont have a just measurement there can be no society because everyone is out for themselves and not connected to the True Measurement. So it follows then that the better the measurement (ability to rule) the better the society.

so in Rons poem about inversion it struck me that he was illustrating the exact opposites in our society.

so the problem then isnt one side or the other (viper or lamb ect.) but a problem of a proper alignment.

judgment then is like the fixed state of being focused on one side or the other - a focus on opposites instead of the true rest in alignment -

Being fixed would mean being un-connected from the Source - which is the Ability of  Proper Measurement - Him.

Healing and connectedness then are synonomous.

Heaven forbid that any of us block your creativity Vince! Creativity is a gift of God because we are made in His image and He is a creative being, He is God after all. The scripture says this to us and i believe that it applies to all creativity that points to The Creator.

Dt 25:4 Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain. or

1Co 9:9 For it is written in the Law of Moses: "Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain." Is it about oxen that God is concerned?

1Co 9:10 Surely he says this for us, doesn’t he? Yes, this was written for us, because when the plowman plows and the thresher threshes, they ought to do so in the hope of sharing in the harvest.

You have given us food for thought!

I just wanted to ask if you have ever read the book "The Universe Next Door" by James W Sire  It is a Basic Worldview Catalog, and some of the  things you speak about are in this book. It is an excellent read.

Hi Cheryl - hmmmm ... no I havent, I'll check it thanks ...

"Sire definitely approaches the issue from a Christian perspective. Some may see this as a major flaw, but I think it is appropriate for Sire to openly announce his biases rather than try to hide them. In any case, I feel Sire is correct in that theism is the only consistent and complete worldview. His discussion of Christian theism is absolutely great. Sire does point out that there are many "inner" issues or problems within Christianity- but still contends that Christianity provides the outer framework of a consistent worldview."

Theism ~ "In a more specific sense, theism refers to a doctrine concerning the nature of a monotheistic God and his relationship to the universe."

Yes, if i get the flow of what he is saying it is all about perceiving the framework for reality ... thus without a true measurement which is founded upon connection, "reality" operates off a closed model rather than an open one. A closed model is a view of the universe based upon a subjective measurement. An open model shows that the universe is held up by an outside Source.

That is why superstition is akin to bias. :)

Hello Vince,

Thank you for your explanation. I think that I get it now.

If the snuff runs out one corner of the mouth more than the other, it means both corners are connected to the same mouth. Right?

Ron
