I wrote the following just about a year ago. You'd have to be blind not to see it shaping up now in current events:
We, the United States
of America, are headed toward an intense crisis at the presidential
level, the outcome of which will determine the direction of this country
for a number of years to come. I sense this crisis coming at or before
the beginning of President Obama’s fourth year in office. I am therefore
issuing an intense call to prayer because the prayers of God’s people,
together with the spirit in which we offer them, will shape the
aftermath of this crisis for either good or ill. It can be a wonderful
and historic turning point for the nation or it can be the beginning of
the shattering of our country with depths of division beyond any we have
seen since the Civil War. Much depends on what believers choose to do
now in the months we have in which to prepare.
Please note that
I am making no political statements here. I merely point out that a
crisis is coming, whatever form it may take, that it will directly
affect our president and that the outcome of the crisis will be either
restorative or destructive for us as a nation.
In order to be
effective in praying toward and shaping the outcome of this coming
crisis, we must first shed the anger that many of us with a conservative
political orientation seem to allow to so easily overtake us. James
1:20 teaches that “the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness
of God” and yet I continue to hear growing choruses of anger and
bitterness coming from those who should know better.
Many of us
will have to learn the meaning of Romans 12:20-21, "But if your enemy
is hungry, feed him, and if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so
doing you will heap burning coals on his head. Do not be overcome by
evil, but overcome evil with good.” We must prepare ourselves to be
servants, even to those whose opinions – or sins - offend our sense of
what is right.
All of us must plumb the depths of I Timothy
2:1-2 and understand the true heart of Father God whose nature is love:
“First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and
thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are
in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all
godliness and dignity.” No prayer offered in any spirit but His will be
heard in heaven.
Even more importantly, we must understand the
meaning of our true citizenship. “For our citizenship is in heaven, from
which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ”
(Philippians 3:20). I love my country and am glad to have been born an
American, but I will never allow my love for my country to become an
article of faith. I belong to the kingdom of God. America is a place on a
map. The kingdom of God is an eternal state of being in which the rule
and reign of God are realized. Therein lies my allegiance. When
patriotism becomes an item of faith, hatred is birthed and people always
get hurt.
We are rushing toward a nexus in time, a very narrow
passage in which even small events and minor decisions will loom large
in their effect. We, the church, will need the intervening hand of God
to achieve a good outcome and enter a season of hope. Saints pray! Pray
in whatever way the Lord guides you to pray, but above all, pray in His
Spirit and with His heart. We can affect the course of history.

Amen, we need to pray for those we have made our enemies by our allegiances, God has not made them His enemies...

Praying saving grace over every man, woman and child... Father desires that no one perish,,,if we would allow Holy Spirit to move through us with His mercy and grace we will see awesome harvests and conversions will be of a humble people desiring only to have Christ Jesus as their Savior and Lord, their King and their Master... "The bringing of many sons to glory by power of Holy Spirit and establishing the Kingdom of God on earth." For He has removed the dividing wall and reconciled ALL mankind back to Father God,,,if each will personally receive HIM! Love you ALL

The coming conflict between the government of man and the kingdom of God was revealed to me in 1995. During that time, the word of the Lord came to me with a verse of Ezk 32:17. This passage was about the judgement of Egypt, and was the seventh oracle from Ezk 29 to 32. At that time, I was given an understanding of the man who would be President during that time, a Cushite, a black man. Of course, I did not know who he was, but today, yes, President Obama.
Since that time, the Lord has given me seven confirmations about this word, and I encourage all to read Is 11, and 19.
The age of wicked man is coming to an end, and this country as you know it will never be the same.

That's a good word. We will soon be a witness to the kingdoms of this world
becoming the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ! To me it means that
we will see the collapse of the current world systems before the full
manifestation of the Kingdom comes. HE is the Prince of Peace.

The chapter in the Bible is Isa 19...all of the verses, along with Isa 11...all of the verses.
If you take Psalm 91 and search the key words Dragon, and young Lion, they are titles of the King of Egypt...which the Lord confirmed to me...that is Obama.

Larry,
I do not bear witness with Obama being the young lion and adder in particular. In type is another matter, there are types in scripture that MANY people can fall into, such as a Jezebel, Satan (which Jesus called Peter), Saul, etc. I am not sure whether you are calling him this in particular or in type.
Honestly, Obama is not my enemy. He is only an enemy to those who have something of their own life left to lose. He is not a threat to the kingdom of God, but, He can be a hindrance or a help in establishing it. If you are kingdom in your approach he is a small drop in the sea of the world that does not understand the kingdom.
My suggestion? we focus on seeing the kingdom advancing as a rock uncut by human hands that will cover the whole earth, If we become one with that kingdom NO MAN can stand against us...

Are we not seeing a mere reflection of what is happening in the spiritual realm through the events on earth? On earth as it is in heaven? Our enemy is not of the natural realm ~ he is of the spiritual realm. So, as you say Kris ~ in the natural realm what we see are types/pointers.
What our eyes are drawn to in the natural seems to be what the Lord is trying to draw our attention to being aware of that is going on in the spiritual realm, from what I can see.

this is in proportion with Jesus saying, 'bless and curse not'-(referring to sermon on the mount)
weigh any revelation, word, etc. against the Person of Jesus Christ, Who showed us the very heart/being of our Father.
i also think of Daniel, in Babylon serving the king in way that honored the King. Daniel saw the Mountain of God..the Kingdom of God ..the rock uncut by human hands and the increase/advance of ..all fufilled in the Person of Jesus Christ and His Spirit now dwelling within us. time to live out and make known the Kings Domain/Dominon/Realm/Rule/Reign
His is an upside down Kingdom haha Glory to God!! and Blessed be His Name!

I have had many dreams the past 2or 3 years concerning a coming economic storm on this nation. The elements involved in the storms are always similar; dark, brooding clouds, rain and high winds. There were 2 more involving tidal waves engulfing shopping centers and malls (places of commerce, indicative of economic peril).
My dream last weak took a turn for the worse: I was viewing what I perceived to be the harvest moon from an office window. Other friends, some of them Ministers looked at it with me and we realized it was not the moon close to the horizon, but a meteor falling to the earth.
We saw the meteor crash into a large oak tree in an open meadow by itself and consume the tree. It was about one half mile away.
Many of us jumped into a large van and went to inspect the damage and we found the tree destroyed, but we continued down the 4 lane road and noticed that this was not the work of 1 meteor but a meteor shower. All down the road there was debris and trees and brush alongside the road were on fire.
We came to a clearing on the right and there was a "super" car dealership. Sure enough, it had been destroyed by the Meteor shower as well.
So,again, I see troubling times coming to the American economy. What is different this time is the storm was not cloud, wind or rain, but fire, which is indicative of judgement.
What ties this (possibly) into Loren Sanford's vision is that the meteor first hit an Oak tree. A tree represents a person in leadership (Nebbechadnezzar). It is possible the tree in my dream represented our president.
This is subjective information, which means it is considered prayerfully and not given the full weight of scripture, nor are any dreams. I felt this was worth sharing and certainly worth praying about.

The tree could be speaking of the tree of evil in men's hearts. If I remember rightly Ron has written much on this in his Kingdom Growth Guides # 16, 17 and 18.
I haven't had time to look yet so please correct me someone if I'm wrong here.
