Clinics Quit Planned Parenthood over Abortion Push

CBN News

(OpenHeaven.com Commentary: It is important to an Islamic take over of a nation to reduce existing non Muslim population numbers and increase Muslim numbers through immigration, Muslim births and any means possible.)

Marjorie Dannenfelser is one of Planned Parenthood's biggest enemies as a pro-life lobbyist in Washington. Her organization, the Susan B. Anthony List, is dedicated to electing more pro-life women nationwide.

Recently it highlighted several affiliates have quit Planned Parenthood rather than obey its mandate that all their clinics must provide abortions by 2013.

She told CBN News, "One woman, Sue Thayer in Iowa, complained about this and other goings-on in that clinic and she was immediately booted out. And now she's actually helping us in our 'de-fund Planned Parenthood' battle."

Dannenfelser said the abortion-provider is unapologetic: "When these situations occur, they boot people out, then brag about it, and then say 'we did it' and 'you just take it.'"

Dannenfelser says it galls her to see how much taxpayer money goes to the Planned Parenthood empire.

"They perform about a third of the abortions that occur in this nation, so it's around 300,000 a year," she said. "And we're paying a million dollars to them everyday: today, tomorrow, next day; we're paying them a million dollars to run the most prolific abortion provider in the nation."

On the election front, recently Sen. John McCain (R-Arizona) suggested he and other Republicans need to shut up about abortion, presumably because he thinks it's a losing issue.

Dannenfelser said all the pro-life activists she knows first laughed, then got outraged, because top Republicans hardly even mentioned abortion during the election, much less fought it.

"There was already a truce proclaimed at the beginning of the presidential election cycle," she complained. "There was strict and severe discipline: 'only talk about jobs and the economy, only talk about jobs and the economy.'"

She said, in fact, the silence about abortion was depressingly deafening. She considers it a betrayal.

"'Silence is an assent.' Dietrich Bonhoeffer said that. Martin Luther King said that," she stated. "Everyone who's fighting a cause says 'Silence is complicity.'"

One of the major election-watch parties November 6th was co-sponsored by Dannenfelser's Susan B. Anthony List. When Ohio was declared in President Obama's column, she said the partying ceased as the man she considers the most pro-abortion president in history was declared re-elected.

"When Ohio came through, there was a lot of crying," Dannenfelser revealed. "We're talking about children sent to this world every single day for a purpose: we're fighting for them. And to see it all collapse..."

Dannenfelser still gets emotional about it now, almost a month later, describing the depression among her colleagues that evening: "Of course you're going to be very sad. You know, the guys are mad, the girls are crying."

But she said about 2 a.m. that night, her friends and associates still at the party gathered at a big table, prayed and collectively decided they must fight on.

"We're going to keep on going," she declared. "And we're not going to stop till every child is saved."
