Dear Friend,
This month marks two years of conflict in Syria, and the numbers of refugees fleeing the country have reached 1 million much sooner than anyone predicted. Children are bearing the brunt of this disaster as the situation continues to deteriorate.
Please help Syrian refugees receive urgently-needed supplies today.
"Children tell stories of sniper fire in their street, bombings of their homes, losing loved ones. So many families have lost everything, and it will take years to rebuild their lives," said Anita Delhaas-Van Djik, World Vision Lebanon National Director. |

When 4-year old Yasmin's family fled the fighting in Syria, the only place her parents found to make their home in Lebanon was a park bench. Please pray for and help children like Yasmin today.

Lebanon has seen a heavy influx of refugees in recent months. World Vision is responding in the Bekaa Valley, where we've worked with communities for the past 10 years. To meet the urgent needs of Syrian refugees, World Vision is providing monthly food vouchers as well as hygiene kits, blankets, clothes, cooking stoves, and other household items. We are also running Child-Friendly Spaces to provide safe places for children to learn and play.
But we need your help.
First, please join us in praying for those who have lost their homes or witnessed violence and destruction in their homeland. Pray especially for young Syrian children as they recover from the trauma of war and learn to cope in their new environments.
Then, please give to help continue the important work of assisting refugees in Lebanon. Thousands of children and families need food provisions, household supplies, education, and counseling to endure difficult living conditions.
Thank you for doing all you can to help Syrian refugees.
God bless you, Rich Stearns President, World Vision U.S.
P.S. After this length of time, violence, fear, and uncertainty become the new normal for children. And that's the most heartbreaking thing of all. Please help by donating today. |
