Araci, sertão da Bahia
Araci is a city in the interior NE Brazil with 50,000 inhabitants and 64 villages in its rural area. Several of these villages have no Christian witness at all. During this outreach, the entire city of Araci and surrounding villages heard the Gospel and had the opportunity to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Many were saved and God performed great miracles of divine healing. Some of the testimonies are: a boy deaf and mute from birth was able to hear and speak for the first time in his life, dozens of demon possessed were set free and several tumors disappeared. At the end of the first night, when I left the crusade platform, one of the volunteers came to me and shared that a young men with a neck tumor had just been healed. The tumor simply fell off his neck! Glory to God! According to a local pastor, Araci has over 50 witchcraft temples of Candomblé, an afro-Brazilian animistic religion that resembles voodoo.

There are thousands of villages in rural NE Brazil with no Christian witness. These villages remain a vast mission field in our generation. Thanks to the generosity of our partners, we were able to reach several villages in rural Araci and sponsor buses from different locations, so that people could attend the crusade and hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We also worked with local churches to facilitate the planting of several new village churches. Check the pictures below to see some of the village outreaches.
We also held a Fire Conference to challenge local Christians to reach the rural areas of their town, a Pastors’ Conference to encourage the local pastors and their wives, a Women’s Conference and an evangelistic outreach for the business community of Araci, in which several businessmen dedicated their lives to Christ.
