School Affirms Parent's Right to Pray
by Teresa Neumann : Sep 12, 2013 : Abby Carr – Charisma News

"The Constitution should be the only permission slip students and parents need to exercise their freedom of speech. We commend the school for not caving to FFRF's unwarranted demands and urge other schools to follow their example." -Jeremy Tedesco, legal counsel

Liz praying(Concord, NH)—Last spring, Lizarda Urena, the mother of a student at Concord High School, responded to an incident in which bullets were found in the schools bathroom, by asking permission to pray on campus for everyone's safety.

After being granted permission to do so, she subsequently prayed every morning for no more than 15 minutes on the steps of the school.

According to an Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) letter, Urena's prayers did not interfere with classes, were and were never endorsed by the school, yet in July the group Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) filed a complaint demanding that she stop.

After weighing the arguments put forth by ADF, the school didn't buy it, and is allowing Urena to continue.
