Over the past 20 years, I've received a number of dreams
and encounters from the Holy Spirit warning of a
significant earthquake coming to New York City.
At the end of December, 2008, I experienced the most
powerful of these events in the form of a 7-day
visitation from the Father in which He spoke several
things to me regarding the future of NYC - and America.
All of it had to do with the next 18 months.
As a result of what God showed me during this visitation,
I am requesting special prayer for NYC going into the
upcoming month of November. Furthermore, I would exhort
anyone living in that metropolitan-area to prayerfully
consider storing sufficient water, food and other
supplies should there be a major disruption in basic
services and deliveries.
Also, I believe God has instructed me to move back to
NYC and be there during this upcoming season - and all
that awaits it. (I’m due to depart Southern California
for NYC by the end of October). The purpose for this
move would be to intercede for the city while there -
both for the protection of His children and for a great
outpouring of His Spirit to be released in the midst of
impending turmoil. I will be looking for opportunity to
be involved in practical compassion ministry, as well.
For clarity, I believe that a literal shaking will take
place in NYC sometime during the month of November.
From what I believe God has shown me, it will be the
start of the most difficult time in NYC since the British
burnt it to the ground over 200 years ago. The financial
markets will be affected, and the world - as a whole -
will tremble as America starts to stagger.
The direct consequence of this calamity - I believe -
will be an awakening that will bring in multitudes to
God’s Kingdom in a short period of time. The Jewish
community in that region, in particular, will be
powerfully visited by God’s Spirit as a result of this
event. Manhattan, I believe , will experience a radical
visitation of God’s Glory, as well.
One of the purposes of prophecy is to strengthen the
believer (1Cor14:3, NIV). Prophetic fore-knowledge or
intimation of impending crisis should drive us closer to
the Father. Once there - He imparts comfort, strength,
grace and wisdom to help us navigate through difficult
times.
Our finest hours often arise from our most difficult
ones. I believe the American church’s finest hour lies
ahead. But it will not be without commensurate challenges
and trials.
After careful prayer and consideration, I am
disseminating this message for those who will take it
to the Father and pray for revelation concerning its
validity - and act accordingly.
May God grant us all abundant grace, peace and strength
for the season now at hand.

Below is an account of the first time God spoke to me
about NYC and a seismic event. It took place over 20
years ago, while I was a missionary in London. I shared
it on several forums about 7 years ago.
New York City - Impending Seismic Event
5/5/07
Before I share what I believe God has shown me regarding
New York City, I'd like to say that some of my most
exciting, fulfilling years as a believer in Christ have
been spent in that town.
The revelations that God has repeatedly given me about
NYC have brought my heart tremendous grief and hours of
weeping.
The following is a summary of experiences I've had that
relate to an impending earthquake in New York. May they
be used by Him to strike a chord that brings an
appropriate response from His Body--
SPRING - 1994
In the Spring of 1994 I was the pastor of a small church
in north London. One early morning, God gave me the
following dream:
I was climbing a darkened stairway, not knowing where I
was at. As I came to the top of the stairs, an awesome
moonlit night revealed that I was in Manhattan, ascending
from a subway exit.
Reaching the top of the stairs, my steps froze. In the
moonlight I could clearly see the Empire State Building -
laying on its side. Everything beneath it for hundreds of
yards was utterly crushed!
In my spirit, and before my eyes, it was obvious that an
earthquake of significant magnitude had taken place.
The visual quality of this dream was astounding. It was
like watching digital technology, years before it was
available in the marketplace. Strangely, I could sense
that the temperature was warm - but not hot (perhaps it
was late spring/early autumn?).
Still transfixed on the fallen skyscraper,
from the corner of my eye I saw a grey-bearded, African-
American man staggering my way. Dazed and in obvious
shock, he did not talk or make eye contact as he passed
by.
In fact, at this point I could discern that a paralyzing
sense of collective shock had settled upon the whole
city.
There was no shouting or screaming. Only muffled noises
and sounds of various persons beginning to move about
while trying to make sense of what had just happened.
As I stood there - still gazing on the fallen Empire-State icon and the incredulous level of destruction
beneath - my heart broke and a cry surged forth from my
spirit: "New York City will never be the same again!".
As the words rushed from my heart, I could hear them
coming from my mouth. I was now sitting up in bed -
awake. And weeping.
SPRING - 2004
Ten years passed and I now found myself back in New York,
working a short-term assignment for a ministry in
Astoria, Queens. My first night sleeping in my room, I
lay awake thinking about how odd it was to be back in NYC
after being away so long.
About this time, I began to ponder upon the night vision
I experienced back in London in '94. Frankly, it was a
dream so disturbing that I secretly wished I'd never had
it
At that instant, the presence of the Holy Spirit filled
my room there in Queens and remained until I arose the
next morning. All night long God's Spirit referenced the
vision of the earthquake I had years earlier.
In a constant stream of words transmitting His Peace,
Power, Purpose and (yes) Love, the Lord spoke the
following message to me non-stop: Not yet, but soon---
Although it may have seemed God was going through a lot
of trouble to say so little, it was a dramatic
confirmation for me that the dream from years earlier was
no fluke. Furthermore, I sensed in this experience that
this disaster was most likely still some years away.
Incredibly - since then - I have had yet another all-
night visitation from the Lord regarding a major
earthquake striking NYC (let me just say that I rarely
have these type of experiences!). This one had an even
more amplified sense of God's presence than the one I had
in Queens.
After extended prayerful consideration, I share them now
in case God desires to use them in any way to motivate a
renewed outcry of intercession for NYC and this nation.

Michael,
This is a very time specific prophecy and quite
concerning. You indicate the Lord has now bore
witness to you by 3 witness' 2 Cor. 13:1. It is
unclear to me...did God say this is a done deal...or
his ear yet open to our cry of mercy?
I wish to share a couple of thoughts per Biblical
principle. I have no specific word from the Lord.

operating before the body of Christ with transparency
and discussing the earthquake to come to California,
and sharing Godly council to edify the Body of Christ
about events of this nature.
God gives warning signs before a great natural
judgement, and it sounds like you are indicating
November is a beginning...so this is part of the
greater warning of more to come?
There is a strong consensus to prophetic voice that
this current hour, God will operate like never before
in restoring the Church (only 1) to full function. A
restoration is occurring to the 5-fold, and mature
believers, all composing the Body of Christ to
excercise Kingdom of heaven principle on Earth as in
heaven.
In the past there was much "crying wolf", and the
fruit of that mixture of Man's words vs. God's word,
is pessimism from non'believers, and even within the
church. I do not believe if what you are given is of
God, the function afterward is a 1 man show. You
submitted your part to this Forum, and I believe this
wise, as we are all given a part...all need one
another...in the weakness of all believers...Gods
strength will be magnified.
If this is of God, would not more fruit result from a
public proclamation coming from the corporate heads of
the Church to warn New York 1st? Your message is time
specific. Consider Moses before Pharoah, and Jonah to
Nineveh. The one story God allowed the people to turn
away from their sin and the others heart was
hardended, but with both there was a clear warning to
the unbeliever that what will soon come to pass is not
in the Natural....but divine judgement. This allows
the unsaved to make a connection...if this then
that...and the connection increases God's glory to the
church....uniting all in a Holy respect for Gods
order.
So God does not operate in secret, his light is always
to be public and "on a hill"...all part of the
righteous character of God to hold all men accountable
when we stand before him on our final judgement
day...there is no respect of persons.
I admire you humbly submitting this to this Forum, but
I do not bear witness to an enormous move of God and
the results thereof being governed by anything other
than the 5 Fold ministry who in turn are able by
divine guidance use their anointing to direct mature
saints of God to fulfill their calling. It is not too
late to establish this order and I join you in prayer
for Gods divine order to come to fruition.
I believe the 3 brothers referenced in my link are
directly linked to most "major" players in the 5 Fold
and suggest you reach out to them for direction.
Perhaps someone on this Forum has a direct phone #.
We are all equal as believers in Christ, male and
female, no matter the ancestry,... this is not about
heirarchy, but rather submitting to one another under
whom God says he has appointed.
My prayer is God will use us all in his divine order,
that we as Paul will " be made all things to all men,
that we might by all means save some." 1 Cor 9:22
More fruit is reaped in divine order...I suggest your
contact to this Forum is only a part of those
prominent brothers who have been ordained for just
this type of divine order of God movement.
Wow, that is one sobering prophecy. May God have
mercy.

Am currently in the process of trying to arrange housing
for my sojourn to NYC in a couple weeks.
For the past 3 1/2 years, have been the Exec Director
for a 5013-c that operates a couple historic homes in
Pasadena for the benefit of providing low-cost housing
for visiting missionaries, christian
workers and students. We work with a number of the
higher-profile churches and ministries in the area.
One of the properties is a 15,000 sq. ft. mansion,
situated within a few hundred feet of Rose Bowl Parade
reviewing stands.
Would be willing to do a housing swap (room or suite)
with any christian organization in NYC that can place me
in Manhattan or Brooklyn for a six week period starting
November 1. Can negotiate finer points of arrangement.
