In the midst of "prayer-shaming" and calls that "God is not fixing this," thousands gathered at the 66ers stadium and churches around the country to proclaim San Bernardino for God.

The shooting by a married couple, which has yet to be determined as workplace violence or domestic terrorism—left 14 dead and 17 injured. But the death toll isn't deterring church leaders.

Thousands gathered at the San Manuel stadium, home of the 66ers, Thursday night to pray for and remember the victims of the massacre.

"Our community has been put in unfamiliar territory because of this terrible tragedy. We know that our ballpark is a community gathering place and that is what we need now," 66ers General Manager Joe Hudson said in a statement. "We need somewhere that all of us can come together and grieve for the senseless loss of life and assault on our home."

They aren't the only ones.

Seven United Methodist Churches came together Thursday night, as well, to reflect on the tragic events and pray for the country.

So did the Kingdom Culture Worship Centre, one of the churches in San Bernardino.

"This city belongs to God, and we will not stand for death and violence to stay here," San Bernardino's Kingdom Culture Worship Centre leaders said.

Leaders at the Worship Centre are also preparing for the spiritual battle associated with violence, according to their Facebook

"We declare WAR!!! ‪#‎prayforsb‬ ‪#‎sanbernardino‬," they write in one post.

"'Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.'‪#‎sanbernardino‬ ‪#‎prayforsb‬," written in another post.
