An idol has been broken,
Its face upon the ground,
Now nothing to support it for it tried to wear My crown,
An eagle has fallen and not just for a day,
This counterfeit is where it shall stay.
1 Samuel 5:1-5
5 And the Philistines took the ark of God, and brought it from Ebenezer unto Ashdod.
2 When the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into the house of Dagon, and set it by Dagon.
3 And when they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the earth before the ark of the Lord. And they took Dagon, and set him in his place again.
4 And when they arose early on the morrow morning, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of the Lord; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off upon the threshold; only the stump of Dagon was left to him.
5 Therefore neither the priests of Dagon, nor any that come into Dagon's house, tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod unto this day.
Deuteronomy 6:10-19
Remembering God through Obedience
10 “When the Lord your God brings you into the land He swore to your fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob that He would give you—a land with large and beautiful cities that you did not build, 11 houses full of every good thing that you did not fill them with, wells dug that you did not dig, and vineyards and olive groves that you did not plant—and when you eat and are satisfied, 12 be careful not to forget the Lord who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the place of slavery. 13 Fear Yahweh your God, worship Him, and take your oaths in His name. 14 Do not follow other gods, the gods of the peoples around you, 15 for the Lord your God, who is among you, is a jealous God. Otherwise, the Lord your God will become angry with you and wipe you off the face of the earth. 16 Do not test the Lord your God as you tested Him at Massah. 17 Carefully observe the commands of the Lord your God, the decrees and statutes He has commanded you. 18 Do what is right and good in the Lord’s sight, so that you may prosper and so that you may enter and possess the good land the Lord your God swore to give your fathers, 19 by driving out all your enemies before you, as the Lord has said.

Eagle is US? Well its true that many did make an idol of America without God. Until He is restored to His proper place, nothing will be right since no person has any ability to rule and reign with justice unless truly under God.

If I remember my Rick Joyner, Eagles were the prophets. so this would regard a false or fallen prophet.

Yes I see what you mean. But maybe a false prophet was never an eagle to begin with.
What Does The Eagle Represent In The Bible? A Christian StudyDoes the eagle have special meaning in the Bible and if so, what does it represent? The Eagle Bears us UpThe
image of God as an eagle is found throughout the Bible but primarily in
the Old Testament. It is a sign of strength and able to bear much
weight, as Moses wrote, “You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself” (Ex 19:4). This is further symbolized when Moses said of God “Like
an eagle that stirs up its nest, that flutters over its young,
spreading out its wings, catching them, bearing them on its pinions”
(Duet 32:11). The eagle can bear up the young eaglets on its pinions,
which are the outer wings. This is basically what God did when He
brought Israel out of captivity from Egypt and continued to bear her up
in her wanderings in the wilderness. The Eagle as a sign of StrengthThe
psalmist often referred to God in the imagery or as having the
attributes of an eagle and especially when he wrote that it was God “who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s” (Psalm 103:5). Isaiah also saw the symbolic strength of God as depicted in an eagle when he wrote “but
they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount
up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall
walk and not faint” (Isaiah 40:31).
The Eagle as God’s Rod against Israel and JudahGod
also uses the eagle in the Bible to describe different powers which
will come down swiftly upon Israel if she refuses to live in obedience
to Him. God spoke through Jeremiah in warning Judah about a coming
threat from the north by stating “Behold,
he comes up like clouds; his chariots like the whirlwind; his horses are
swifter than eagles—woe to us, for we are ruined” (Jer 4:13). If the nation continues in idolatry and refused to repent even after being warned, God thunders “The
Lord will bring a nation against you from far away, from the end of the
earth, swooping down like the eagle, a nation whose language you do not
understand” (Duet 28:49). These “pursuers were swifter than the eagles in the heavens; they chased us on the mountains; they lay in wait for us in the wilderness” (Lam 4:19). Further, Habakkuk says much the same thing if Israel refuses to repent, writing about the coming enemy “Their
horses are swifter than leopards, more fierce than the evening wolves;
their horsemen press proudly on. Their horsemen come from afar; they fly
like an eagle swift to devour” (1:8). The Eagles as God’s Rod against the NationsGod also uses the language of a swooping eagle even against the nations surrounding Israel “Behold,
one shall mount up and fly swiftly like an eagle and spread his wings
against Bozrah, and the heart of the warriors of Edom shall be in that
day like the heart of a woman in her birth pains” (Jer 49:22). Whichever nation exalts itself against the Most High, God says “Though
you soar aloft like the eagle, though your nest is set among the stars,
from there I will bring you down, declares the Lord” (Obadiah 1:4). The Eagle as God’s ProtectionGod refers to Himself as an eagle for several different reasons and one example is of His protective nature as in Psalm 91:1-4 “He
who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of
the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my
God, in whom I trust. For he will deliver you from the snare of the
fowler and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his
pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a
shield and buckler. ” Eagles represent sovereignty and supremacy
and how fitting since God is the real ruler of kings and presidents
(Dan. 2:20-21/5:18-21, Prov. 8:15-16, Rom. 13:1-2) but also, when the
storms hit, eagles can fly far above the storms, indicating that God is
never affected by conditions for He is also sovereign over nature. ConclusionIf
you have ever watched an eagle soar, it is nearly motionless and
stationary. This absolute lack of movement makes it naked to the eyes of
its prey. This majestic bird may have a wing span over eight feet and
weigh up to 15 pounds and live up to 40 years. Eagles are indigenous to
North America but they used to be predominant in Palestine at one time.
They are also the most attentive parents of all the bird species and
perhaps the greatest teachers of their young, and like doves, they will
remain monogamous until death. God is like an eagle, He covers us and He
shadows us (Psalm 36:7, 63:7, 91:1-4, 1st King 8:7), covers us (Psalm
91:1-4), hides us (Psalm 17:8) and is even under us (Psalm 36:7). Article by Jack Wellman

Joshua 24:15
15 But if it doesn’t please you to worship Yahweh, "choose for yourselves today the one you will worship": the gods your fathers worshiped beyond the Euphrates River or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living. As for me and my family, we will worship Yahweh.”
There are many of my children that have been distracted by idol worship in many ways in this season where they should be seeking my face and hand for truly I AM your Redeemer(Jesus Christ) and Way of Life .
So fast the earth my children and see the joy you shall find with me as your center piece and Cornerstone for it is as you make me your First fruit and desire that all these earthly possessions and desires wane and fall away for I AM your Peace and it is my will for you to arrive at this understanding. I AM all you need, thirst and desire for I AM your Shalom(Peace) and KING of kings . . .

Exodus 32Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)
The Gold Calf
32 When the people saw that Moses delayed in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said to him, “Come, make us a god[a] who will go before us because this Moses, the man who brought us up from the land of Egypt—we don’t know what has happened to him!”
2 Then Aaron replied to them, “Take off the gold rings that are on the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters and bring them to me.” 3 So all the people took off the gold rings that were on their ears and brought them to Aaron. 4 He took the gold from their hands, fashioned it with an engraving tool, and made it into an image of a calf.
Then they said, “Israel, this is your God, who brought you up from the land of Egypt!”
5 When Aaron saw this, he built an altar before it; then he made an announcement: “There will be a festival to the Lord tomorrow.” 6 Early the next morning they arose, offered burnt offerings, and presented fellowship offerings. The people sat down to eat and drink, then got up to play.
7 The Lord spoke to Moses: “Go down at once! For your people you brought up from the land of Egypt have acted corruptly. 8 They have quickly turned from the way I commanded them; they have made for themselves an image of a calf. They have bowed down to it, sacrificed to it, and said, ‘Israel, this is your God,[c] who brought you up from the land of Egypt.’” 9 The Lord also said to Moses: “I have seen this people, and they are indeed a stiff-necked people. 10 Now leave Me alone, so that My anger can burn against them and I can destroy them. Then I will make you into a great nation.”
11 But Moses interceded with the Lord his God: “Lord, why does Your anger burn against Your people You brought out of the land of Egypt with great power and a strong hand? 12 Why should the Egyptians say, ‘He brought them out with an evil intent to kill them in the mountains and wipe them off the face of the earth’? Turn from Your great anger and relent concerning this disaster planned for Your people. 13 Remember Your servants Abraham, Isaac, and Israel—You swore to them by Your very self and declared, ‘I will make your offspring as numerous as the stars of the sky and will give your offspring all this land that I have promised, and they will inherit it forever.’” 14 So the Lord relented concerning the disaster He said He would bring on His people.
15 Then Moses turned and went down the mountain with the two tablets of the testimony in his hands. They were inscribed on both sides—inscribed front and back. 16 The tablets were the work of God, and the writing was God’s writing, engraved on the tablets.
17 When Joshua heard the sound of the people as they shouted, he said to Moses, “There is a sound of war in the camp.”
18 But Moses replied:
It’s not the sound of a victory cry
and not the sound of a cry of defeat;
I hear the sound of singing!
19 As he approached the camp and saw the calf and the dancing, Moses became enraged and threw the tablets out of his hands, smashing them at the base of the mountain. 20 Then he took the calf they had made, burned it up, and ground it to powder. He scattered the powder over the surface of the water and forced the Israelites to drink the water.
21 Then Moses asked Aaron, “What did these people do to you that you have led them into such a grave sin?”
22 “Don’t be enraged, my lord,” Aaron replied. “You yourself know that the people are intent on evil. 23 They said to me, ‘Make us a god[d] who will go before us because this Moses, the man who brought us up from the land of Egypt—we don’t know what has happened to him!’ 24 So I said to them, ‘Whoever has gold, take it off,’ and they gave it to me. When I threw it into the fire, out came this calf!”
25 Moses saw that the people were out of control, for Aaron had let them get out of control, resulting in weakness before their enemies.[e] 26 And Moses stood at the camp’s entrance and said, “Whoever is for the Lord, come to me.” And all the Levites gathered around him. 27 He told them, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says, ‘Every man fasten his sword to his side; go back and forth through the camp from entrance to entrance, and each of you kill his brother, his friend, and his neighbor.’” 28 The Levites did as Moses commanded, and about 3,000 men fell dead that day among the people. 29 Afterward Moses said, “Today you have been dedicated[f] to the Lord, since each man went against his son and his brother. Therefore you have brought a blessing on yourselves today.”
30 The following day Moses said to the people, “You have committed a grave sin. Now I will go up to the Lord; perhaps I will be able to atone for your sin.”
31 So Moses returned to the Lord and said, “Oh, these people have committed a grave sin; they have made a god of gold for themselves. 32 Now if You would only forgive their sin. But if not, please erase me from the book You have written.”
33 The Lord replied to Moses: “I will erase whoever has sinned against Me from My book. 34 Now go, lead the people to the place I told you about; see, My angel will go before you. But on the day I settle accounts, I will hold them accountable for their sin.” 35 And the Lord inflicted a plague on the people for what they did with the calf Aaron had made.

Jeff and Jane,
Everything posted by both of you spoke to me exactly what I desperately needed this day. My heart is crying daily for this nation. My youngest son works as a laundry man at a University. He does laundry for all sports and is required to attend all home games. He also has been invited to travel to several away games with the team. On his return he said that they were all treated like KINGS and people practically worshipped them. My son tries to be a witness just by walking before them in love.
In regards to the eagle, I needed to be reminded of the time I was so afraid to walk through a door for some training for reigning classes. All but one other lady were in their teens and twenties. I was 65 at the time and the other lady was 66. As I hesitated at the door the Lord spoke to me so clearly: "If you walk through that door I promise that I will renew your youth and you will mount up on wings as an eagle!" He is truly renewing my youth and several years ago a lady said she saw (in the spirit) wings on my back.
The intensity of the battle is so evident. Television and movies are so filled with violence, the occult, greed etc. GOD GRANT US THE WISDOM TO KNOW WHEN AND HOW TO RESPOND AS WE SEEK TO HASTEN THE MANIFESTATION OF YOUR KINGDOM. WE LIFT YOU HIGH LORD. HALLELEUJAH!!!

Thanks for the explanation - sports fans idolatry has a
source in Washington DC behind the former Pan Am building,
a statue of Xochipilli.
Please note this is from a book called "Gaia Matrix" which is New Age and must be read with caution. I am NOT promoting the book but see it as a blueprint of the enemy utilizing Freemasonry to bring about power through ley lines. This statue is an example:

I must object vehemently to the introduction of new age twaddle as a valid source of information.
WARNING!
The book this link goes to is written by a man who espouses dangerous new age beliefs. Please do not read it!

Thank you Jane, I read that article it makes more sense than ever now.
Exodus 20:3-5
3
Do not have other gods besides Me.
4
Do not make an idol for yourself, whether in the shape of anything in the heavens above or on the earth below or in the waters under the earth. 5 You must not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the fathers’ sin, to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,

It's not an article Jeff, its a book by one of those new age kooks with a cockamamie theory about humanity being the "“New Race” (that) would more efficiently
unify the three realms: angelic, human and devic." If you want to take any information from that kind of source - well good luck to you. Personally I wouldn't
touch it with a barge pole.

Rose, please do not think I have any interest in new age. I was shown this book in 2000 and its essentially a blueprint for the enemy. So I use it to figure out what's going on...lots of good info for spiritual confrontation.
FYI in 1985 I was taken in by someone in the occult, once I realized it, I immediately renounced it and spent most of my time trying to find those things that had to be avoided that might affect my children as they grew up. This "Gaia Matrix" book has been effective in helping me to see the enemy's tactics, such as this statue of Xochipilli.
And I visited this statue when in DC and put a stake in the ground where it was located with these words written on it: 4 Angels, 4 corners, 4 winds, 4 wheels - for Judah and for Joseph, Ez. 37

Jane, you posted the link to a book written by a guy whose background is more than a little off without any warning or explanation. Please
think about people with less experience who do not look into the provenance of the book and take it as being OK to read without any caution.
