Teachers who depart from sound doctrine engage in
speculation and argumentation which results in strife
and friction.
2nd Timothy 4:3-4 - For the time is coming when people
will not endure sound teaching, but having itching
ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to
suit their own passions, and will turn away from
listening to the truth and wander off into myths.
The days and time are now here!!!!
Strange fires are burning brightly in sanctuaries all
across our nation. In the houses of worship, pastors
and teachers and other leaders willingly offer up
these strange and unauthorized fires to the people
knowing the fires are devoid of power. Christians by
the thousands gather together by the "altars" week
after week to watch the "controlled" fires burn all
the while making futile attempts to warm themselves
against the cold that permeates and saturate their
souls.
The fires have ferocious and insatiable appetites that
cannot be quenched. Souls are its fuel. Christians
are drawn to the flickering flames just like moths,
lured by the irresistible and quickly spreading fires.
Flames licking at their hearts, congregants are
mesmerized, blinded and seduced by the colorful glow
of non-biblical truth. They never notice that the
fires are foreign and they are oblivious to the deadly
scorching heat. Fascinated by these fires, Christians
love the doctrine these fires produce. However, they
are ignorant of the dangers of the uholy and unnatural
flames that provide artificial warmth for their souls.
These strange fires were and are birthed in the pits
of hell.

Good post.
The strange fires are not only in church buildings. We must always be discerning of the danger of strange fires even in the midst of any Godly gathering; the devil will try to bring contamination or distort that which is true. That is the nature of the devil. Sometimes we know fires that are in other places, but we must also be careful that we not become complacent and assume that we are too strong or wise ourselves that we are no longer in danger of it. Even in the New Testament, some of the mighty disciples were warned that they were falling prey to wrong ideas. We are all susceptible to things. That is why it is so important to stay in the Word and line everything up with the Word of God, and to stay in the Spirit as He will teach us and correct us. We are all human and need the plumb line of the Spirit to guide even our own souls.
Some of the strange fires literally have just enough truth to sound plausible and godly but when judged against the whole truth of God's Word will start showing the error. And the Holy Spirit will start to show where the teaching is not in alignment with God's Word.
