The month of August brings more than long, hot days. As we near the end of Summer and
transition into the Fall season, there are many shifts coming. On the Hebrew calendar,
we are approaching a crossover into the New Year. In a few short months, Americans will
face a critical national election. One way or another, a new President is coming.
Though we are sobered by the change of seasons, both natural and spiritual, our hearts
remain full of faith that a true spirit of revival is steadily advancing across our
land.
Lou Engle recently shared on the atomic power of prayer and fasting at the Global
Summit Conference in Pasadena, CA. In response, Pastor Che Ahn shared a recent dream:
“I was in a room with the Unabomber and I kept hitting him with a chair, but the
Unabomber wouldn’t move. Suddenly, Lou walked in with a pillow. When he hit him, the
Unabomber instantly went down under the power.”
We believe that the symbol of the pillow in Che Ahn's dream speaks of the power of
prayer and fasting in weakness! There is grace and supernatural authority released in
seasons of fasting that unleashes power for breakthrough, which natural strength cannot
achieve. We would like to urge you to unite groups of two, three or four people at a
time to begin fasting and praying together, in your churches and communities. Let us
lay hold of the spirit of revival and awakening in our own lives. This is the path to
national awakening: tens of thousands of personal awakenings!

Briggs, to help inspire and guide you in your journey of fasting and prayer!
