The other day a fellow minister told me about a man, who'd been a part of his local church for several years, and how this guy was now doing everything in his power to destroy that local church!  I was told what the guy's problem was, and oh, my!!!  I couldn't believe my ears... such a trivial thing!  Yet this guy was bent on acting for God and destroying the ministry of that church!

It just seems to me, that stories like this are becoming so every abundant... much more abundant than ever before!  People are getting offended, are taking on the offense of others, and allowing spirits of deception run rough shod over all that is of God.

I was thinking about offense this afternoon.  How can a person know if they are offended by me?  Well, it's first of all an heart issue.  If you check your heart and check me out accordingly, you may find, that if you have ill will towards me, by the so-called wrong I may have done to you, that you wish me to fail, my ministry end up in shambles, get excited when some bad things happen to me, feeling that it's God dealing with me, etc... then most likely you are offended!  And... that is sin!

On the other hand, if you can find it in your heart to forgive me, accept me, and restore me, etc.... no matter what I've done to you, then you are not offended, but have a pure heart and are moving in the Spirit!

Just some thinking on my part!

Let's agree to not allow deception enter our hearts and lives, and only move forward in unconditional love, acceptance and fogiveness!

Amen Larry!  To be offended or to forgive is a choice.

I agree with you Bill Evans. I work at Wal-Mart and I deal with people all the time. For the most part the people are very nice but every once in a while I have to deal with an angry customer. People can get offended very easy.

I remember it was like my third week working at Wal-Mart and I had a hard time scanning a package of water. I had to tear the plastic away to get the water to scan. The customer went off on me. She said” If I pick those waters up and they fall out I am going to be tick off only she didn't say it that nicely when she said it to me. She began to scold me for putting her groceries on the floor.  She said," This is poor service and when I shop at Wal-Mart I expert perfect service."  I told her that I run out of room to bag and had to put her bags on the floor. She said,” Well you should have gotten me a cart." I told her that I wasn't allowed to leave my register and she said,” Well you should have page a csm to get me a cart." I told her that I was new and she should take it easy on me that I was still in training and learning. She then said to her husband,” I am going to the bathroom." I thought in my head "Yes lady go to the bathroom and cool off. I hope that you feel better when you come back. I apologize to her husband about putting the groceries on the floor and he said not to worry I did nothing wrong.  She came back and didn't say a word to me and they left. The next customer told me not to be discouraged that she also works in customer service and is a restaurant manager and has even had food thrown at her and she knows how customers can be.  Every once in a while you get one of those huffy customers that had a bad day. All you can do is hold your tongue and be nice to them.  I was told that they get worst during the Christmas season and especially on black Friday. I don't know why people have to be so offensive and in a hurry. Sometimes the other drivers can be so impatient.  I have had people just blow their horns at me when it wasn't safe to make a left turn.
