Pastor Bill will be leaving on September 10th for Uganda.
Linda will follow on October 20th.
We will keep you updated on the itinerary for prayer needs.
PABO, UGANDA, AND SUDAN
Please pray for recent graduates of Prepare the Way School of Ministry in Pabo, Uganda. These men and women are passionate and in love with Jesus Christ. They are serious about the great commission. We have seen dedication in them and a willingness to lay their physical lives down for to spread the glory and honor of Jesus throughout Northern Uganda. They are asking for bicycles to facilitate the speed at which they can travel into the villages in the bush. Thank you to those who have responded to the need for the bicycles. They will carry the good news to the refugees who have returned to their barren homeland. Please pray for an open heaven, open hearts, and restoration of hope. Pray for God’s presence to dispel the darkness and freedom to the captives.
Please pray for divine encounters, strategies, and connections. It is vital to the purity of the gospel that we connect with pastors that carry like passion for Jesus, do not have corrupt hearts, or their own agendas. We will need discernment from the heart of God to see past the smiles into the inner man. Our desire is not to find the most popular, but the servant who wants to see Jesus exalted, and is willing to pay the price to see that happen in their community.
Please ask God to give Pastor Bill, Pastor Bosco, and team supernatural strength, endurance, protection, and health as they enter this rugged region. Most of the travel will be by motorcycle. Pray for safety and no accidents. Ask God to encamp His angels all around them each and every day. Ask God to cancel the assignments of the enemy which have been assigned to prevent the Word of God from going forth into this dark and bound region. Pray for God to destroy the bacteria in the food that the Western body is unaccustomed to and for Bill to remain in good health.
THE BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN
Please ask God to bless the children. Pray for their hearts to remain pure and innocent. Pray for others to have their innocence restored. Many of the children who live in Uganda have been raped and the shame has kept the pain inside. Others have been abused emotionally and verbally by leaders forcing children into low self esteems. Linda will be doing ministry into the hurts in the hearts of the children at Hope Children’s Home as well as the children in the new love home in Mukono, Uganda. Pray for the Holy Spirit to quicken her spirit to the words He would have her speak into their lives.
Please pray that each and every child will have a sponsor. Prepare the Way Ministry now has 16 children that are presently not sponsored. This puts a great financial weight on the ministry. The child’s way of viewing the world changes when they have the love of a “mom, dad, sister, or brother”. Please ask God to send the right sponsors to the right children. It is really important that the children have sponsors that love and pray for them.
Pastor Bosco is finding new children who have AIDS or have lost their parents to AIDS while in the refugee camps. He is feeling overwhelmed with the numbers of children involved. Please pray! We don’t have the answers to such a great need. Our precious Jesus has a plan and a purpose for each of their little lives. Ask Him for wisdom! Ask Him for answers! Ask Him to show us what is on His heart for these children!
Prepare the Way Ministry has purchased another piece of property near Pastor Joel’s Love Home in Mukono. It is 4 ½ acres. It has a well on the property and a very large, well built building. It would be a wonderful place to raise goats and chickens for the twenty-one children to have milk, eggs, and meat. In the future, we would also plant crops on the fertile land. Please pray for wisdom! We will need “God’s choice person” full of integrity to manage it for us! Once again, we don’t want to be influenced by someone’s charm. Please also ask God for the finances to pay the property off quickly.
PREPARE THE WAY SCHOOLS OF MINISTRY AND PASTORAL TRAINING
Prepare the Way School of Ministry, Bungoma, Kenya extension of Faith Bible College; Independence, MO will hold a graduation ceremony in October 09. Please pray for God to receive great honor and glory as the graduates commit to a lifetime of service to the Lord. These students will receive bachelors in Theological Studies. Many of them are already pastors and this training has sparked a passion in them for Jesus.
Please pray for the other training centers:
Pastor David in Koboko, Uganda located just a few miles from Sudan and Congo Many of these students will be involved in reaching into Sudan
Pastor Josiah in Sseya, Uganda along with Pastor Sharef, Pastor Barnabas, and Pastor Francis are ministering in Sseya and several sub-centers in the surrounding communities
There is a demand for PTWM to come and start centers in many new areas. We are being slow to move as we want God’s wisdom, once again. We are watching God strengthen the ones He has given to us. We do not want to increase beyond our ability to disciple.
Ten to fifteen Lugazi pastors are showing a desire for revival. Pray for direction. Ask God to send us those who carry His heart. We believe that God wants to change this town and demonstrate His glory in it. At the present time, there is corruption among many of the pastors. Ask God to cleanse their hearts and draw them to the cross where there is forgiveness.
TRAVEL AND CONNECTIONS
Please pray for timely connections at each airport. Ask God for the safety of Pastor Bill. Pray that all boxes will travel on the same plane with him, and that they will arrive safely and nothing will be missing. He leaves from Kansas City on September 10th at 1:30 PM and arrives in Uganda at 8:15 PM Uganda time (about 11 AM our time)
Pray for the Holy Spirit to download His heart into Pastor Bill and Pastor Linda to deliver the messages of heaven. Pray for a transformation in the lives of the hearers.
Thank you for praying. God bless you.
Be strong in the Lord and the power of His might.
Pastor Bill and Linda Campbell
