by Steve Eastman, OpenHeaven.com TOP News
MONTPELIER, VT - Lisa Miller is the Christian mom, who disappeared after an activist judge ordered her to turn over her daughter to lesbian Janet Jenkins. Miller gave birth to Isabella eight years ago after artificial insemination. At the time, she and Jenkins were “lovers,” living in Vermont.
Miller returned to her Christian roots and took her daughter to Virginia, where she attended Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg. Jenkins, who had maintained little contact with Isabella and had never adopted her, later sought custody. Judge Richard Cohen ruled in her favor, despite the absence of any Vermont law authorizing the granting of parental rights to a civil union partner. A Virginia judge resisted the out-of-state order.
Gay and lesbian news sites and blogs are circulating articles, claiming Miller crossed the US border at Jaurez, Mexico and flew from there to San Salvador, the capital of El Salvador. Some cite the Associated Press. AP has published an article tracing the claim to Jenkins’ lawyer, who reportedly says she heard it from an unidentified Virginia police officer.
Meanwhile, the Vermont Supreme Court hears argument later this month that Judge Cohen’s ruling was in error.
