3,738 Decisions for Christ in Bangladesh!
In the fullness of time, God sent His Son Jesus, who lived among us, did great wonders, died on the cross to save us and was risen from the dead. Although the Gospel story took place 2,000 years ago, millions of people in Bangladesh have never heard the Good News of Salvation.
Bangladesh is a country in Asia the size of the state of Illinois, with 160 million inhabitants, of which 96% are Muslims. It is the third largest Islamic country in the world. Last May, I had the great privilege of sharing the Salvation message to people that were hearing it for the very first time.
God gave us a great harvest of souls: 3,738 registered decisions for Christ ! A true miracle in this region so needy of the Gospel of Grace. After the campaign, national Christians started working at the city to plant new churches with the fruits of this Gospel Festival.
Hindus and Muslim friends attended the Gospel Festival
This was a tense period of time in Bangladesh. When leaving Brazil, 200,000 radical Muslims were protesting at the capital Dhaka and demanding the death penalty to those that speak against Islam. The protests resulted in confrontation with the police and 36 persons lost their lives.
Besides the possibility of violence by radical groups, the weather services from around the globe predicted that a devastating cyclone could reach Bangladesh.
Despite the concerns, God blessed the campaign greatly, we ministered safely, the cyclone became a tropical storm that hit just south of the country and we had a plentiful harvest of souls and miracles! During the campaign, Jesus opened deaf years, took away tumors, healed broken legs and restored perfect eye sight!
This month of June, we will continue working to bring the Gospel to rural NE Brazil. This month we will reach the city of Macau and I continue to count on your prayers and financial support for the success of this campaign.
