Hi Christine:
I don't know if we've ever talked. I don't think so. Welcome to the forum. Nice to see you posting.
I like what you shared on paradigm shift and the definitions which you gave for it. How so very true that we need to rest in the Lord and to remain ever so close to Him. For many of us, things aren't quite clear right now as you eluded to. As as you stated, when the shift is finished, it will become clear.
We're all being stretched out of our comfort zones or the call is going out for us to move with the Holy Spirit's leading. We don't necessarily know what is ahead for us individually and that can be quite uneasy. This is where we find out as to whether we trust the Lord or simply say that we do.
I was watching a Christian station last night and there was an exchange between those operating in the prophetic and apostolic. This is on Canadian programming and the focus has been on how Revival is coming to Canada. Interestingly, these people were touching on some of what you are saying.
From what I understood, they were saying that people are positioned or getting positioned. It's as if they are sitting on the edge of their chair. They know by the Spirit of God that something is about to take place. They know that God is wanting to take them places. In obedience, some are listening to God's Voice and letting go of what they've been doing not knowing where they are headed. One pastor, prophet, apostle mentioned how the Lord told him to release the church he'd been pastoring over to his wife to pastor. In obedience, he's done this but really does not know what the Lord will have him do. He's waiting on the Lord. Now, that takes guts and it takes a commitment to the Lord. They stressed how this was a time in which we were being tested in the area of obedience to the Lord.
What was also shared is that it's a time of preparation because revival is coming and the masses will be coming. They gave an example of how certain people had been praying for revival and when it broke out, they were unprepared for all that took place. The Lord was gracious to them and they learned a lot through trial and tribulation (the hard way). Once thing which I found most encouraging is that this revival which is coming is not going to last 4-5 years as some of the revivals in the past. This one will go on according to what these folks were saying. That's why we need to spend much time with the Lord in order to be prepared even if we don't fully know what the Lord wants us to do, as of yet. He is looking for willing and submitted hearts and those who seek Him for who He is. Giftings without character is a very dangerous thing. Many people get hurt. God is developing character and integrity in His people.
This paradigm shift is uncomfortable for some of us; it is for me. However, I'm trusting God for He has never let us (me)down. It's always hard to let go of the old unless your heart is fully surrendered to the Lord and your Love for Him is so committed that you simply do it. Easier said that done but quite achievable.
Now, that I've talked your ear off, I'm going to go catch up on some sleep. I had very little sleep last night and a bit right about now would be nice. Have a lovely day, Christine and hope to hear from you soon.
Love,
Terry
