For the Prophets...

Proverbs 8:34 (KJV) 
    Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

Waiting here ...I noted among many other wonderful posts being shared the mention of of a Father and Thing, and this scripture came to mind.

Then it occured to me that in truth this is in part ...if not the whole of what this transition of the Chruch verses the Coming of the Kingdom as it gives over to honoring Our Lord in His relationship to His Father ..."now" in the present as we come to see Him as just not my Father but Our Father.

And there is this turning our our minds as Jeff Kingshott has shared that we are beginning to see that it is an elder to the younger as father to son's mind that is comming forth. This being  in character is oppsoed to just a pastor to member relation ship... ( Thanks Jeff)

Here are four scripture that came to me and there is much to share... but I will just post them and hope all reading will indeed wait so as to hear what Our King is saying...

The prophetic concept of fathers and sons...

Malachi 4:5-6 (KJV) 
    Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

The prophetic questions concerning preseption of leaders...

Malachi 1:6-11 (KJV) 
    A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the Lord of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name? Ye offer polluted bread upon mine altar; and ye say, Wherein have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of the Lord is contemptible. And if ye offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? and if ye offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? offer it now unto thy governor; will he be pleased with thee, or accept thy person? saith the Lord of hosts.

And now, I pray you, beseech God that he will be gracious unto us: this hath been by your means: will he regard your persons? saith the Lord of hosts.

Who is there even among you that would shut the doors for nought? neither do ye kindle fire on mine altar for nought. I have no pleasure in you, saith the Lord of hosts, neither will I accept an offering at your hand. For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the Lord of hosts.

A prayer for a son from his father, via his own prayers...

Psalm 71:1-72:20 (KJV) 
    In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion. Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me. Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.  Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man. For thou art my hope, O Lord God: thou art my trust from my youth. By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee. I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.     [72:1] A Psalm for Solomon.

    Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king's son. He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment. The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness. He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor. They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations. He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth. In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth. He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth. They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust. The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended.

Is it that our prayers for our sons have been for their well being in doing and in doing so.... forsaken their ability to know, understand, and move in the wisdom of a reighteous relationshipt that when gathering, praises Our Father as well as honors Him?
