Al Thomas: "GOD IS ABOUT TO GIVE MANY A FACE LIFT...AS THEY PUT THE TRASH OUT"

"...sanctify yourselves, sanctify the house of the Lord God of your fathers, and carry out the rubbish from the holy place." 2 Chronicles 29:5

God Says: "PREPARE FOR A FACE LIFT"

After a long night of seeking God, I was suddenly awakened and went into a vision. In this vision I saw an operating room in Heaven. A patient is lying on the operating table and a doctor walks in picking up a silver scalpel.

Jesus is the Doctor and you are the patient. An angel (anesthesiologist) puts you out by breathing on you. You thought it was life that knocked you out...no; it was the Father (Psalm 127:2).

Just before you go under, the Holy Spirit whispers to you Psalm 3:3: "But Thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head." Yes, you're getting a face lift, but today, He's only concentrating on your mouth.

God Says: "PREPARE FOR AN IMPARTATION OF SMILING AND LAUGHING"

Even though He is concentrating on your mouth, He's not touching your lips. Instead, He's cutting into your chest and working on your heart (Jeremiah 24:7). He prepares a transfusion from His heart to yours (Revelation 12:11). With a nod to an angelic nurse, His Blood slowly begins to flow from His heart to yours (Ezekiel 36:26-27).

As His Blood (Colossians 1:20) reaches your heart, you awake (Romans 13:11) and you feel like Lydia in Acts 16:14 "whose heart the Lord opened." Your new mouth moves as if it's cracking open for the first time and it seems to glow. You feel like you've had a thousand vitamin B-12 shots in your mouth.

You begin to laugh (Proverbs 15:13, 15). This is not your normal little "tee–hee" or a slight snicker. You suddenly think of a current problem that you know isn't resolved yet and could get worse, but instead of being overwhelmed, you begin to do a strange thing - you laugh at the problem (Proverbs 17:22). You laugh at your pain. Like a fool (or a genius) you start laughing at everything you had previously cried about.

As you laugh, God and all of Heaven laughs with you. It's like one of those wild laughing services you've heard about except this time, it's in your house. Then you look at a dark corner of the room. You see someone crying - it's the devil. You begin to laugh so hard and smile so much your mouth and face hurt. You smell roses about you. You're out of the pit, upon the Rock and there's a new song in your heart (Psalm 40:2-3). Then you smell something else...something bad.

God Says: "IT'S TIME TO PUT STINKY OUT..."

All of that old frowning (and devil-inspired negativity) created a huge stinking garbage pile of "doubt." Previously you felt like trash - unworthy and dirty. After the operation, you no longer fight guilt and shame on a daily basis (Romans 8:1). They were not of God.

Do some commit sin and as a result feel conviction of the Spirit? Of course. When we do sin we need to quickly (and heartily) confess and then walk away convinced that we are cleansed (1 John 1:9). Since the supernatural operation, personal condemnation flees because now you're convinced you do measure up (2 Corinthians 5:21).

The enemy had you fooled (Genesis 3:13), but no longer. The Lord impresses you to kick all your doubts (boy, do they stink) outside - to be picked up like garbage. Suddenly the thought comes to your mind, "Gee, that's a good name for the devil...STINKY." You decide to use it often...

God Says: "AS JESUS PICKS UP THE RUBBISH - GRAB YOUR TREASURE"

By faith, you drag the whole mess out to the curb of your life and leave it smoldering in one huge smelly heap. The moment you place it on the "faith curb" you hear thunder. It's Him coming. He doesn't pick it up; He simply blows on it with His breath (2 Thessalonians 2:8). It dissolves instantly with a puff of smoke.

As the dust clears, you see a box Jesus left behind. It's the treasure (2 Corinthians 4:7). You unwrap it. As you do, a fresh surge of overwhelming love for Jesus and others invades your heart (Matthew 22:37). Then, an irrepressible joy (John 17:13) and supernatural peace (John 14:27) with the unshakeable knowledge of total acceptance from your Father (Ephesians 1:6) hits you like a laser beam. You can hardly contain yourself, so you decide not to.

Although you have an attitude of humility, you walk with a victorious "no-holds-barred" soldier's swagger (without restriction). The first thing you do is head for the corner where you last saw the devil crying. You approach the king of stink (who's trembling), adjust your helmet, and raise your sword high (Ephesians 6:17). As you plunge the sword deeply...you think, "So, this is what victory tastes like" (1 Corinthians 15:57). Suddenly you have a new appreciation for God's Sanitation Department.

"The thief cometh to steal, kill and destroy, I have come that you would have life and have it more abundantly." John 10:10
